Just got up and wanted to post about my experience at EVO this year. I had a great time there… a lot of good players showed and a lot of good competition as well. Practically every game there had comp…as for the EVO itself it didn’t go too well as I wanted it to go for me. I think the best game I did well in was SSF2T…instead of MvC2. I entered all the game though…well except for 3D games that they had. Ernesto did pretty well and qualified in his bracket which really shocked me and even him.
Cause I think this year had some of the best MvC2 comp ever I think...though all the others had great comp as well. Also for SF3:3S I had to face off agains't KO so that was something for me to remember. I faired somewhat ok at first...bit once the second match came he just rushed me down like no tomorrow. They guy is a god in that game...that's why he won EVO :)...it's cool though cause I learned a lot from that match.
I learned a lot of new things from just playing higher comp and also met a lot of cool people in the process. It's too bad that the whole RoD Krew couldn't make it to EVO. It would have been really great...especially that first day when we had the MvC2 tourney at the Hotel. Over all I had a great time playing everyone again from RoD: Tony, Ernesto, Chris and SvC. Hopefully next year if you guys are still playing or want to go to EVO again that would be great.
Also Daigo is just a beast...that guy got some tricks up his sleeve that I can't even imagine. Tony filmed most of the good stuff so you guys should talk to Tony about footage. He pretty much has everything filmed finals wise...and has some casual matches as well I believe. Alright well take care guys and hopefully one of these days I'll stop by the RoD for some games. I should have some pictures of EVO here this week…or maybe even tomorrow :)…I’ll post up. Also wanted to say that the SF3:3S sticks sucked at EVO…that’s probably the only thing I could really complain about. Well besides my random jab stick…but everyone that was with me knows about that crap. Alright well I’ll post some pics very soon…later.
So true...partly why I did horrible in some matches...cause it keep doing it like every 2 seconds. But I got it fixed now...did it myself....opened up my stick and just checked all the wires. Seemed the LP button was crossing with another wire...so I just seperated them. Also made sure other wires weren't crossing each other. It works fine now...so I'll still be using it till probably next year :) for EVO. Alright well take care of everyone and also check out the picture thread here soon at the EVO section. Everyone knows the best player is me of course :)…nah…I’m alright I guess. Everyone has their days at RoD though I haven’t been there in a long time now. Mostly just meet up with everyone at tournies or when I go down to San Diego now. It’s really hard to say who the best is…everyone as good there. Just go and judge for yourself :)…alright well I’ll talk to you all later.
it all depends in what game your talking about, for 3rd strike and cvs2, it would be tony, for marvel it would be me and chris, rob too if he still plays the game, but word has it he has quit marvel as of evo 2k4…but no one quits marvel…no one…
