Stop missing jumpins to combos… getting jump in RH > c.lp > throw is CRAP
I’m not a big fan of U1, good players aren’t going to try and zone with fb’s when you have a stocked Ultra. I find it useful against Honda to punish headbuts. U2 is much more versatile overall.
I believe that reversal Rolling Thunder does not punish EX Headbutt. I had this happen in a match. I got the reversal message and everything.

Nice MGB traps. Don’t forget to mix in some overheads / sweeps / maybe even a surprise ex cross counter now and again.
Nice one. You were both strong. Hey does c.hk > duck straight > U2 work on Dudders? Could have finished the last round with that. Still solid play from what I know of Duds so far.
i think that is a good example of how dudley should be played. it looks like all of his mgb combos came from a strong footsie game. he also mixed up duck and fa for the booms to throw guile off. way to fight like a gentleman.
Thanks. Yes, you can do that combo on Dudley. Seems easier to land more hits on the ultra using the rh version of duck straight but it will land with all strengths.

I agree. The match strongly expresses, imo, the mindset between both players as far as baiting and maximizing their bait/punishes to the best of their (the players, not the characters) abilities. A match that was played greatly by both HAV and Magman.

I’m working on commiting c.lp c.lp s.hk to memory.
I throw in a cross counter every once in awhile if they are always jumping in with an attack. Do it once and they get hesitant.
You can AA the j.hk with s.mk. S.mk is much better than cr.hp. It beats everything. Sure it doesn’t do as much damage but it’s guaranteed. Also EX Jet Upper and Ultra 2 are both great AA.
VS Guile never throw out mp MGB unless it’s in a combo. He gets a free flash kick on reversal. EX MGB is punishable by cr.mp xx flash kick or reversal Guile Ultra 1/Ultra 2. Don’t throw out MGB in footsies, it has too much startup to be a good poke and it’s punishable.
And yeah the cr.lp/f.mk -> s.hk combo is important. Practice it until it becomes second nature.
Haha…I wish I could upload a vid of a match I had against a Makoto player named pee_in_my_mouth. I beat him so hard that he kicked me from the room. :lol:
A chance encounter vs. me and the best Guile you’ve ever seen, Geom MoDInside. Suffice to say, he kicked my ass. My one shining moment is in the second round when I hit confirm an EX MCB corner combo. I lost but it was an entertaining match.
