Okay guys, I’ve been playing for a while RBS. I didn’t remember it was so slow compared to RB2. I went into few rounds against Shinblanka and the strat was so different respecting RB2. As it is slow, you can’t go further to beat the opponent. There’s so much turtling and to break it, you find more pains than RB2, even there’s the line shift.
I’m not saying this because your play Shin, just because the game is in this way.
I was a great player in RBS before the move to RB2, but I didn’t remember it so slow.
Citing some words someone say, definitely, RBS is not tournament worthly, compared to RB2.

Did we play more than 3 matchs? Anyways rbs speed is prolly slow. I know projectiles are slow in rbs as you tried to sit back and throw fans with mai and I’m using ex tung. My offensive options are very limited with ex tung since he is the worst in the game. I take no offense by your statement because its based off an opinion not facts. Or I should say based off personal preference. This isn’t a thread to bash both games. It should be for helping people that are interested in both games to get info for both. I can say the samething about cvs2, but it depends on WHO is playing rbs that determinds if its a turtle game or not! I saw my very point proven during the cvs2 tournament final round 10. if you never played cvs2 before and you played against steve harrison you would think cvs2 is a turtling game. Then in the same tourament you had to play against combofiend you would think cvs2 is all about rushdown! It really depends on the players not the game imo. You choose to sit back with mai and I did the same with ex tung. No offense, but you and I choose to turtle each other. That’s not the games fault imo. Anyone that attend FRX and FRXI saw what I was talking about with cvs2. So with your choice to play rbs a certain way rbs isn’t tournament worthy? Well that doesn’t sound very objective to me! Sounds like you played rbs just to try to find negatives imo. Don’t play rbs. Its obviously not your type of game, but don’t throw blanket statements like “rbs isn’t tournament worthy” around. Both are great games imo. I find it so funny how people keep dissing rbs. I guess I don’t know a good game when I play one. Maybe I like fucked up games. Good thing I don’t think like you when talking about rbs vs rb2. Because if I did I would say rb2 isn’t really tournament worthy and wouldn’t throw it at FRXII. But I don’t think or act that way! Both will be at frxii because both are tournament worthy imo.

The same applies for what you write about cvs2 and one player, you are assuming is because what I faced to you.

I don’t get what you say about the final reason this thread was created. If someone wants to get some info about games, what’s the reason for the other threads?
I mean, I thought this thread was created for discussion like “Mai RBS better than RB2” or “line shifting comparision”, I mean, debating.
I wrote RBS not tourney worthly compared to RB2. Let’s say some tourney guy, who is picking games to play has this dillema, RBS or RB2, and just one could make it. So I wrote it thinking in that hipotetic case, telling him “you should pick RB2”.
Ok. Just a final word about ex-tung. He is not the worst in game, his size and punches are dangerous. In fact, most characters considered “worst” are the thoughest to beat.
I could go further I say I can deal better with, I don’t know, maybe Terry or Billy or Kim than Tung.
Let me speak as the person WHO created this thread…it was create so that the other two threads could be for discussion only, and so we can compare and contrast differences between RBS and RB2…all differences…being characters, engine etc…
Now that the such and such is better has been beaten to death, I will say everyone has their preferences…but on my watch if we have time BOTH are getting run at tournaments…
Thats the final word on that…Larry is running BOTH at FRXII…so why is there even a discussion now?

The write is in response to Shin, to get my points clear. Of course he didn’t have to do that, or if he will, and I’m not saying to him “hey Shin, pick RB2”. And again, I didn’t say (and nobody is telling I did) RBS is not tourney worthly AT ALL, it’s just compared to RB2 AND if someone has to do a choice. If that someone has both options, great!, go ahead, I’ll support it.
I think I’m doing it right, I’m comparing both games. 
Yeah as long as we compare both games overall and still respect the other person thats what this thread is all about.
Kroyal has a right to his opinion and I respect that. He prefers rb2. He feels that rb2 is better over all than rbs because of the speed difference, but I don’t see a big difference in character speed. I see a difference in projectile speed, but that’s all I notice speed wise.
Ps-I’ve had a lot of help over the years with suggestions for games played at final round. You would find that most of the community would have your views on picking what games are tournament worthy or not worthy. The funny thing about having that mentality is most of the community didn’t think ANY SNK game was tournament worthy or major tournament worth! This is the mentality I wanted to break when I run final round. I think I was the 1st usa major to have several snk games as feature games. If I thought like you no snk game would ever be an official game at FR. I always get pm’s from people asking me to get rid of the snk games for other capcom games because they say none of the snk games are tournament worthy. There’s still a lot of people out there that don’t respect snk games in the usa. I’m trying my best to bring snk to the into the mainstream usa tournament scene! I’m trying to change the way people look at snk games.
The good thing is snk is finally getting some respect in the usa scene.
OK it’s official. There are no shitty characters in RBS. I just watch fullmetalJ on 2df beast with bob in rbs. I never knew he could combo off his throws!!! Well it look like he comboed off his throws. Unless bob has a special multiple grab move in rbs that I never knew about. I think it’s a special grab move the more I watch it. Seeing more people play rbs on 2df is openning my eyes towards other characters. Bob doesn’t suck at all in rbs like I once thought he did. I still think he is better in rb2 than rbs, but i’m not a bob player.
Yes this is what I have been working hard to make happen…and now we can unite our efforts!
