I stopped playing for the exact same reason…lol. But on another note i’m gonna go find an old copy of the game and see if its as epic as i remember. Though isn’t diablo 3 coming out right around the corner?

I quit playing each season, after my main toon got to where he/she couldn’t really get any better than he/she already was.
What else are you going to do with a 97th level Hammerdin w/ maxed out res, level 40 primary skills, and 450 mf, that does 20k per hammer damage?

Im already getting bored of this game =/ Everytime I start playing it again after a short amount of time I find myself just not being interested. SOOOOOO many bots and people using maphacks and what not… and when you try to play legit its 10000000000000000000x harder to get around and finish quests. Plus, people have these damn pickit scripts that automatically pick up drops for them with a quickness, so when you join games you have nearly no chance of getting any of the rare, decent drops.
And playing alone is lame.
Maybe i’ll just wait another year for D3 and find something else to play 
Yeah you need to get good at clicking for drops on bosses, just blindly click don’t even look. Also you NEED to have a friend/partner to play with to help the chances and transfer, mule, mf with, etc. The spam bots are out of control. As for getting rich, keysets are your most consistant way to go. They are easy as hell to get and once you have 3 you have levereage in trades. Also don’t go into games that’s just “xXtradeXx” or whatever, nothing good will go on in those. Just look for specific games like “pul for shako” etc. Also once/if you get to HR trading more commonly trade or socket that shit instantly. Don’t trust a single traded rune not to poof within the hour.
I find that selling armor (plate mail and the like) nets a lot of cash.

Once you are a crappy Hell character who can survive at a mediocre level, go into Baal run games.
Once there, proceed to the pits.
Enjoy socketed Archon Plate drops, as well as potentially GODLIKE GCs.
I got a 15 res all/6 dex and a 15 res all/6 str GC in under 15 minutes doing this, once.
run cows for nice socketables
I have much better luck in the pits, as far as socketables go.
You just have to keep the mf below 300.
I dunno if it’s just the people on USEast, but fuckin nobody can carry their weight in a Hell Cow run. Half the people run around like headless chickens and just do squat damage and pull more cows into the battle 
It’s at the point where I don’t bother trying to cow run unless I see two Zons/Necros.
That’s because 2/3rds of them are there specifically to be power leveled.
Hoping that there is at least one uber-zon/din in the mix to carry them.
