Yoga tower is your friend use it. If you read is good throw out a light flame it’ll stop the slide.Quick HK drill is good up close from a neutral jump-sounds crazy but it works if he gets close.
He can definitely parry his way in and make your life hell if he gets oiled. Hakan’s pressure is extremely strong against characters who lack reversals. He ways of creating windows for oil ups too.
Hakan 2012 just obliterates Sim. Infiltration says its 9-1 and it could very well be. FYI I lost to him in quarters winners pools and high roller tourney.
Okay so I haven’t messed with my secondary (Hakan) in a while but I never believed Hakan had /that/ much of an advantage. I just saw this. I am frightened.

I’m sorry you had to fight that, Snafoo. :shake:
So uh, worst matchup for Sim, guys?
Holy crap. Without watching that I have no idea how Hakan is on an advantage. After watching that, I have no clue how Sim is supposed to fight that thing.
Worst thing is, there are so few good Hakan Sim have basically no practice on this highly style dependence match up.
From the look of it, he basically just have perfect spacing. Focus on keeping himself oiled the entire match. Long as he have oil, his focus normal cancel seem to get in pretty much free. Sim have no answer to it. Throwing any limb out = focus cancel jab. Throwing any flame out is the same.
That jab jab jab slide cancel jab jab jab pattern seem completely invulnerable to anything Sim can do. You block it and you will eventually get command grab, it is too tight for sim to jump or do any reversal… hmm… how do you beat that? It seem like he can pretty much pressure you continuously as soon as he is in range and there are no way out for Sim beside throwing out EX flame or something?
Hmm… This match up suddenly look really crappy.
So I haven’t watched the vid yet, but I have to say that nothing can possibly beat Makoto for worst Sim matchup.
Watch the video haha
wow what’s going on, it seems someone doesn’t like his sims to be boardcast to the world.
I think it is ok to lose to infiltration, after all he won the evo 2012, that is nothing to be ashame of.
I would love to get my ass kick by infiltration, just to get a taste of what the high level player is like, especially in Korean style, they just play different. So aggressive.
In this matchup. Try to keep yourself just outside his forward mp-range. Don’t go for the fullscreen “punish his oiling up” kinda game. Get close and watch him panic when he has no oil, cant jump, cant f. mp, im gonna cry mode.
I don’t think that will work. As sim have no answer to his focus free cancel when oiled up, and Sim can’t punish his oil up on far range.
Getting close on that range is very risky for Sim. Sure, you have the advantage at that range, but it is only one dash away from getting up to the suffocating range for him too, the problem here is that Sim have no reliable way to stop him. He can pretty much do it for free long as he have one Ex bar and oiled.
Primary problem on this match up is that Sim can’t stop Hakken from oiling up, and Hakken can shut down Sim’s fireball game, or even long limb, with ease, at any range.
Well, you can IAT and combo when he oils so it’s not THAT free…
