Isaac Sirko death would have been the perfect finale for the series.
Why would dexter need a love interest after rita died, that part lf him should have died too. Nobody liked him with hannah and the whole rebound shit with lumen was ugh.
Still don’t know how he was able to do sht with the mafia. But eh. This season should have been about deb falling down the pitfalls lf whether or not to turn in dexter. And dexter losing his sanity just going on a real killing spree with deb taking him out for good.
Last scene should have been dexter in handcuffs covered in the blood of the last kill.
I thought of a new motto for Dexter: all bad things must come to an end.

This is stupid, but I’m thinking of it: does anybody think that MAYBE they intended to make Deb into Hannah? As in, Dexter’s love interest for the 7th and 8th seasons. They introduced that godawful incest plan and then dropped it (presumably upon fan reaction). Do you think that might have been what they were planning to do? Have Dex and Deb fall in love and end up trying to run away together? Of all the stupid plotlines we’ve endured, that one’s been racking my brain the most in post-finale analysis. This explanation (kind of) makes sense to me.
Dexter surviving the finale didnt do justice, all the damge he has done to innocents, yet he get away with it, where is the karma?

I know it’s crazy, but I’m starting to think I would prefer the “Quinn is the new Dexter” ending to what we got. That Quinn ending would only taint every season Quinn’s in, and not that much. This one? Ugh; every single good moment of this show I watch now will be tainted by the last 30 seconds. Every moment now ends with “…and then he became the saddest lumberjack of all time.” Seriously, who would guess that as his final fate at ANY point in the series? How many drugs would you have to be on to even come up with that in a meeting? It’s so stupid.

God that finale was terrible. You know it was time for the series to end when the writers are either too lacking of good ideas, or just not motivated enough, to write a decent finale.
What damage? Minus a few guys he killed by mistake or out of anger, most of the people he killed were worst than he was.
he didnt kill trinity when he had the chance, then Rita eventually paid for it, the same happened with debra, when writers decided repeat the same formula, failing this time

Saxon killing Dexter would have been ridiculous. Saxon was such a lousy and non-threatening character. I would rather have seen Quinn do it myself, but only if they had properly built up to it.
I would book it with dexter having saxon on the kill table. Deb breaks in, in comes batista and quinn. They tell dexter to drop his weapon
