DMC has always been EMO btw. Yall need to stop dickriding 3, if 4 didnt have the repetitious element of backtracking it would have been a much better game. The experience wasnt as glorious, but it was a good game in its own right.
It wasnt that hard to follow up DMC2 with a half decent sequel.
EDIT: on an unrelated note is the DMC5 Dante even younger than the DMC3 Dante? He’s no older than 35 in DMC4, and he seemed to be around 18-22 in DMC 3 so Im assuming hes maybe 17-18ish this time.
I hope his fighting style isnt immaculate, I’d like something very haphazard and wild. Id be very confused if he had his DMC3 abilities.
A lot of the old skool RE fans didn’t like RE5, I can understand that because the setting didn’t resemble anything what the first 3 games were about (And yes I actually like RE5 as well)
HOWEVER the characters were still RE and recognisable, but it went in a different direction without butchering the established cast we love.
The Lost in Nightmares DLC also tried hard to homage the 1st game.
This “DmC” however is just looking like a real bad saturday night in the kind of club you don’t want to end up in.
It has nothing in common with the established DMC series except the name.
RE5 is blasphemy compared to all the other failed games. I dunno how much more clearer you want that said. That game got dumbed down like fuck. Even the Original RE4 looked pretty nice considering that made a complete 180 on where it was going. But RE5 is a slap in the face of the franchise. All that game did was finish up the Chris/Wesker saga.
RE5 isnt “blasphemy” talk about over-reacting. Jesus Christ. RE has taken a very action oriented approach while the element of suspense isnt as emphasized, I mean, I hope in the future that they bring a little of that formula back but its not “blasphemous.” Gimme a break.

You as the fan cant tell Capcom what their intentions are concerning the direction of the game. They know DMC much better than you, theyre the ones who created it.
Judging a 2 minute trailer with no gameplay is hardly worth all the bickering thats slowing escalating in here.
i doubt they will dumb down the gameplay. like in what sense do you mean dumb down gameplay? devil may cry is not that complex gameplay wise anyways. people just end up breaking it in and finding out shit like jump cancels, invincibility frames on shit to allow for shenanigans, how to abuse over powered weapons which is always awesome, ect… its not really a complex game at all to begin with. bosses and powerful fiends all have patterns they follow which can be easily dissected with consistent play. all they need to do is copy and paste devil may cry as usual
i say bring back all the dmc3 styles, plus two new ones, and add on the shit from there. just everything that was in dmc3 but fancy that shit up, and your already on a good route to greatness. with 4 games under their belt, if this dmc isnt the best one, capcom is just filled with retards.
re5 wasnt a bad game. i dont get that hate at all. looked great. excellent characters. fun over the top huge boss fights. excellent work in the cutscenes. couldve done something different with the story, but maybe they just saving some goodies, i dont know. nice dlc stuff. i wouldnt mind if re got a reboot. lets take it back to mansions, cities, and sewers with huge creepy ass spiders and for the love of god, if you make a new re with an assist character, make the assist character highly useful. sheeva is so beyond worthless its not even amusing in the slightest, or just go back to single player play, no assist.
Let’s be real about RE: it needed a reboot badly. After RE3, the game was starting to age horribly. Games in general were starting to evolve, but RE series remained exactly the same but with just new environments and characters. The clunky controls and gameplay were starting to age, and Capcom did the right thing by rebooting the series with RE4. Unfortunately, RE5 followed the same formula as RE1-3: same exact game, just different characters and environment. RE5 was pretty much DLC of RE4, which is why a lot of people were disappointed with it. That’s not to say RE5 was a bad game, but it was pretty much a copy paste of RE4 with Chris instead of Leon. And punching boulders into lava.
But yeah, DMC series did NOT need a reboot at all. I’m not sure what the hell Capcom is thinking.
Why does DMC need a reboot? I’m a bit confused. It’s not like the last versions were flops, and it’s not exactly an old series either, 4 is only a few years old.
The reason why people are angry is because this isn’t DMC to anyone unfamiliar with the series… don’t ride off of the same name to get sales for a brand new game…

I’m speechless. What the fuck is this!? I knew there were going to be a new DMC coming out, but not a reboot with a “Dante” straight out of a Tim Burton movie mixed in with Twilight.
Since my 6th sense in tingling, I bet the gameplay is not going to be over-the-top stylish badass while instead it’s going to a cookie cutter gameplay.
