Heck the reason 4’s enemies were decent is that half of them were based on DMC1 enemies lol

If DMC5 does happen, I hope we see a return to enemy designs like Shadow where you really have to switch up tactics depending on what they’re doing.

All 4 has is Blitz. Every other enemy was shrug. 1 and 3 have the best set of enemies. And 2 has the most intriguing boss IMO. Argosax’s first form when it’s a cesspool of former bosses. It’s like Capcom just said fuck the Megaman style of boss rush and get it over with.

Also those damn living statutes, those things suck. I hated feeling like I had to have the rocket launcher on higher difficulties because of those.

Also apparently you can only play as Lady in Nero missions and Trish in Dante missions.

that’s always been the implication, he also knocks up someone to give us nero. I really hope he doesn’t lose, maybe he just left the sword there?

you gotta level up son, no rocket launcher needed.

No, I’m talking about the statues that shoot laser bolts. On higher difficulties, they skate away from you while charging/firing, and few things short of the rocket launcher will stun them before they escape. It’s more annoying than anything, I just blast them with the RL and start wailing. And yes, I know you can reflect the shots with prop shredder, it’s just not always practical.

oh!!! those things! yeah they are fucking annoying, i always preferred spiral for them, do a few swap shots with the pistols and they die… you also get good style points too… but yeah, annoying enemy.

nope.

I still contend that Tomb Raider 2013 was NOT a Tomb Raider game.
at least not in comparison to the TR trilogy. had nothing in common with the games that came before it.
but it was a good, polished, well crafted, well made game.

It was so intriguing you could read a book while standing full screen away mashing E&I while in Devil Trigger mode and kill the boss.

Surely it has nothing to do with DD games selling worse than physical copies in an attempt to boost shitty DmC’s sales while downplaying DMC4’s sales so they can push the narrative that DmC is what people really want.

It’s been a long time since DMC4 came out, fans DmC fans don’t know about it. Capcom thinks this could trouble both DMC4 and DmC sales if they have 2 different games from the same franchise competing head to head. They decide to cut DMC4 from the balls and release it as a download only in the U.S

Capcom has no faith for the old DMC, if it turns out DMC4 sells more than DmC again I will laugh my ass off, as for me fuck downloads. I’m not buying it I rather import it the special edition is looking pretty sweet.

I would assume that a DD only title can still be more profitable with fewer total sales due to the lack of manufacturing and distribution costs, not to mention the prevention of used sales. Where exactly the threshold is, I don’t know, but I honestly believe the DD only model with more focused and targeted (meaning cheaper) advertising is the best shot at survival niche market games (such as character action) have. Again, I would rather have physical copies, but I’ll take DD only releases of games I want over no new releases at all. A new game needing to sell 4 or 5 million to break a profit is a huge problem when interest in a genre is declining.

I’m just happy DMC4:SE exist and it’s coming out on PC. My only complaint would be Nero and Dante (learning more towards Nero) not getting any new weapons/moves. It hasn’t been confirmed yet so there’s still hope.

DE was actually sold out when I went to pick it up (take from that what you will) so I just got the digital version. The whole game installs on the damn HDD, so unless the boxart is particularly dope, wtf is the difference?

Also, as long as I can OWN DMC4SE and and have hope of a DmC2, then I don’t care if Capcom is posturing to put DmC in a better light sales wise. Someone has to reverse the damage these bitch ass “fans” of the series caused by blasting DmC into oblivion.
