DMC didn’t feel like a grind-fest, has better designed enemies, music, graphics and all around prentation, levels. DMC3 had more options as far as combos which is what makes this type of game but the above things mentioned put a damper on it for me.
You already have an established character that was positively accepted. I know why they did it but they could have given the old Dante a modified look that fits with whatever this DMC will be about.

Looks alright i guess… i dont really like dante’s look but it might grow on me as i play the game. The trailer is kind of wierd also, with dante getting tortured and everything. Dude is supposed to be a badass and he is getting tortured, hopefully this doesnt turn dante all angsty and emotional. I never played heavenly sword but i have hope for this game. I loved dmc1 and 3, I have played a little of both bayonetta and dmc4 but i couldnt get into them at the time. My love for action games has fallen off, i really only like competitive games now. But i will keep an eye on this game to see how it develops. Hopefully they dont drop the ball like dmc2.

Being visually appealing doesn’t mean gay. It is a VIDEO game after all, so it should look appealing enough for me to want to buy it. A good example: Asura’s Wrath.

The action represented in the trailer is what bothers me, DMC has always felt much more visceral and hard hitting, at least to me anyway. That’s not the vibe I’m getting from the trailer.
