oh, you must be referring to that slash-cancel part. that’s just muscle memory.

that’s the only part I have difficult doing.

usually I’m a very visual person so if I’m showed how it’s done then I can get it done. the only thing I didn’t know was that the full maxed air raid corkscrew had invincibility against Night’s dying core laser show.

I always got hit by that, and random needle shots.

you should see other boss battles:

Naw naw, I seen all that. I can do the slash canceling but there’s more to acing nightmare then just that. I dunno about one else but i personally am not consistent enough with it to pull it off reliably either.

But what I was really getting at is that a boss fight being 5 or so minutes as it’s general run time is the best. Not “5 minutes when you know the game in an out and can abuse all the exploits to boot.”

That’s pretty good, but it did probably take a long time before someone ever mastered that fight (long after the game’s release, I’d imagine). Back when I cleared DMD in DMC1, the best information I found was to just spam Kick 13 on the core. Also, he did get pretty lucky on which attack patterns he got.

I see.

Here’s a better video of the demo.

That HUD needs to be redesigned. It has no fucking style at all.

The Hud is so fucking bland.

Game looks amazing.

Finally someone who knows what he’s doing, combo system actually has some depth and looks fun which is great but the jury is still out on whether enemies will actually put up a challenge to let us make use of it.

Paging Shatterstar Look someone teh interwebz who doesn’t agree with you go argue with him!

They’re still working on the HUD what you see there is not final and probably be redesigned entirely.

How easy is it to build meter in this game? In the video I saw, the boss was getting utterly destroyed by DT + Axe. Like…his health was evaporating. lol.

Man that style guage just never seems to go down lol.

The whole Limbo concept is right out of Bayonetta. Fighting in parallel dimension where no one can see you but they see the damage you cause as well as you being able to see shadows of them. Yea, right out of Bayonetta.

I thought this game was supposed to have new ideas…

With that said it could be a fun distraction when im feelin for an action game experience but don’t want to replay something. From what I’ve seen so far tho i wouldn’t pay more then 15 or 20 bucks for this. It doesn’t seem to do anything new and instead culminates an assload of ideas from everyone else into a hodgepodge of action game system. I have a feeling that when all is said and done this game wont have any kind of real identity and instead will remind players of a bunch of other games because aside from the warping levels i don;t see any original ideas here. I can name a bunch of shit that comes from a lot of other games tho.

This extend to the character of “Dante” to who comes off as a fusion of old Dante and Nero from DMC, from attitude, right down to his character design. His coat colors are the exact same as Nero’s for example (and from a gameplay standpoint the two whips are Nero’s Devil Bringer system but without the grab specials.)

Heh another Edit (I’m still watching the video). The lack of a taunt is fucking lame as hell. Not only was cool but it served a gameplay purpose, a way to let you charge DT runes so it not being there is really quite disappointing.

And yea the constant cussing is kind of off putting.

my questions are will u be able to play vergil i hope so will dante have a gilgamesh i want nun chucks in this game but to me it doesnt fit the new dante can u cancel that long air dash into attacks can u demon and angel dash in the air i hope he doesnt get a claw like weapon would look wierd on him i cant think of any other kind of weapons like one i hope he gets a big variety of melee weapons iam so glad he gets a scythe that weapon is so sick

I have a question. Do you know where the period key is on your keyboard? I have a sneaking suspicion that you don’t.

yes i do…

did anyone say this, but vergil is the dude with the anon mask in the e3 trailer if you didnt put it together with the leak or notice a small glimpse of what hes known for aesthetically in the trailer by now.

slow clap It’s good to see that Ninja Theory is bringing their A-game for this outing. That boss fight footage has so many quotables…for all the wrong reasons:

WHO THE FUCK ARE YOUOOOOOOOblaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

“…and Eva the whooooooooooreblaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

“You can’t kill me! I’m 1,200 years old!”

“FUCK YOUblaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

“I think you’re all mixed up.”

After seeing this and the nightclub footage I wouldn’t be surprised if the subtitle for this game was, “Lock, Stock and One Smoking Hobo.”

Maximillian played the game at E3, and it’s his game of the show.

2 reason why people should discredit these guys opinions:

  1. The other guy only played DMC1 and “only a little of DMC2” while it’s not a style games you like to play
  2. Neither one of them demoed MGR:R

how can you give a honest opinion of the game then compared the air combos to UMvC3 then say it’s the best action game of E3?

really?

It’s just like when Angry Joe gave Bayonetta a 4/10 only because he not “hyped” by these type of games.

Just don’t review the game and stick to the stuff you know.
