We just spent the day setting up the room for DEVASTATION and, as biased as I may be, the place looks pretty awesome. Tomorrow we have the AV company in to finish up the stage production and we are pretty much ready to go.
Look forward to seeing to seeing the VIPs tomorrow night at the party and everyone on Friday.

Right now I am drunk and was almost 2 seconds away from playing fighting games in real life on some dude’s face, but this was really an event. I’m glad I came out for this. If you didn’t, you really missed out.

I really really loved the stream, but felt it was a big waste of my nights to see so many breaks. It would be cool if next time you tell how long will the stream be playing GEE GEE GEE before going off. Nick Paldino was a baaad baad choice too, I can live with the BB-guy that kept jabbing at SF4 but Nick was constantly saying things that were straight up misinformed. He’s a dangerous commentator because his stuff didn’t sound that off in the ears of an outsider trying to get in. I felt bad to see that someone like me could spot so many mistakes in his commentary for EVERY match.
Overall though the event was nice, awesome job.
Awesomeness: Just wanted to thank JediRobb and crew for setting up an event that was nothing short of excellent. I ran the puzzle gaming set-ups and had a blast meeting new people and learning a thing or two from them! Even got to meet/chat with some big namers like Juicebox, Royal Flush, Mike Ross, Marn, and more. Sunday was a riot. Those finals matches had me pretty excited, even on games I’m not into, like Soul Calibur 4.
Recommendations: I have to agree w/ folks on the SF4 commentating. After hearing extremely informed/informing commentating like JediRobb on Low Tier Marvel 2, the SF4 stuff was weak at best.
Already excited for next year! :tup:

Just wanted to say that I had a great time at Devastation! You guys really raised the bar for quality setups, streaming, and presentation. And wow…the stadium seating for finals was bad-ass! Good job to everyone involved in putting this on! :clapdos:
