The patch barely feels noticeable in pvp. Scout rifles are still garbage while auto-rifles and shotguns run the show. My MIDA Multi-tool barely hits harder and the time to kill remains the same, two shots to drop shield, two in the head to kill. It does do pretty good damage now in pve however, since they buffed scout rifle damage based on tier.
Anybody have Invective? I am currently working on that bounty and the one for Bad JuJu. Could have gone for the one for Thorn instead of Invective. Hope I didnāt fuck up.
On the nightfall where you have to defend shit against the waves, if you go to the wrecked train car, past the area where the hive and shanks spawn in, the enemies wont go in there.
Theres a box or some shit they wont run past unless you force them into melee at all costs mode.
Then when you fight sepiks, theres a room imediately to the left after you enter his lair that enemies wont go in. You can shoot out thru the window, and sepiks has super poor aim hitting you in there as well
You can definitely solo if you have the mission smashing ice breaker. Just slow play it like last week.
The changes are slight in pvp. The couple dudes i saw using VMC still did ok, but now they would lose a few more 1v1s. I think it can still 4 shot you if one of them goes to the head
ARs seemed ok. I was using multi tool, and i did notice i was winning some gun fights at mid range in situations i lost to before. Suros still rapes.
While Iām fine with the balance changes, a user on Bnet made an interesting rant that PvP seems to inform the weapon balance changes that may cause disruptions in how you play PvE.
I thought about it and concluded that CPU enemies simply donāt have people on forums kicking a fuss about certain weapons. I can sympathize, though, that if somebody really counted on the AR for certain PvE encounters (for whatever reason) that theyāre shafted over issues from PvP.
What Bungie says with this and the last patch is PvP is the real āendgameā of Destiny and user feedback from there leads to results. This isnāt entirely a bad thing, but very interesting.
To each his or her own, right? I only ever hang in PVE as it is, but I might stumble into PVP once in a blue moon. If nothing else, at least they appear to be listening to the customers and responding in a timely manner. Weāll see what comes of it in the future.
Thatās the problem I had with the mythoclast and pocket infinity nerfs. Instead of putting competitive balance first, I would rather have them out right ban those weapons in pvp and leave them unchanged for pve.
I donāt want this to become like Borderlands 2 where they patch all the fun out of the game.
They did not nerf the mythoclast if you really read the patch notes, it is still a 4 hit kill weapon but that is restricted to headshots now. All they did essentially is make it harder to kill for body shots, it is still the best weapon in PVP at the moment. Pocket Infinity nerf really is not that big of a deal, anyone who has used to stability buff actually prefers that to the 8 rounds as is. It gives the Pocket Infinity quite a bit of accuracy and it has a ridiculous one hit kill range. I really do not think Bungie know how to balance the pvp as apparently there are further changes coming to pvp balance.
As far as the Raid goes I have finished the Normal Raid with my 29 Warlock and done the Nightfall with my Warlock and 27 Hunter. However I will still be willing to do the Raid with my Hunter and I do know how to do it, finished it several times including on hard. I would be willing to help with Weekly and Nightfall as well.
Raid I would prefer to do Friday if anyone is available for that day. All I ask is that you at least be level 27 and have a mic (DN3000) as communication is crucial during the Raid. The Raid itself is pretty easy if everyone communicates and follows their role. If you are interested add me on PSN JaexHoon, always willing to help. Also if you want to do the Raid on friday let me know, I was thinking in the afternoon around 3pm EST so people can go out on Friday night if they choose to and or spend time with their family/loved ones. If you have a Dr Nope/Suros/Gallahorn/Ice Breaker/ you should be fine. I forgot I can also run the Raid today if anyone wants to do it today as well, and or Weeklies/Nightfalls. I really do not mind helping you can ask anyone who has played with me.
Invective is still a top 3 shotgun and still useful in PVP, just not as much range as before. I think the Comedian took a bigger hit as the range REALLY got nerfed on the Comedian. Fusion Rifles are about to take over PVP even more then they did before. Suros really did not take much of a hit as you were aiming for the head anyway and the headshot multiplier really did not change for the Suros, it might take one extra bullet to kill.
I just got the part i needed for my mic i just havnt tried it yet. Question: exotic bounty choices⦠shall i go for the pocket infinity or the super good advice?
I got the doctor nope from an engram, so it is my second ever legendary weapon. Is this good for Atheon after the damage boost? It does no damage, but the clip is massive. The game decided instead of giving me the two useful abilities from the one at the vanguard to something less useful. I have more damage after killing an enemy when reloading and faster reloading if I get a kill with the last bullet. The upside is this one has field scout which makes me question how much of a % in ammo will I receive.
