Dunno if everyone has seen this, so i will leave it here
Anyone need a beta key?
@FurryCurryâ hooked me up, then I got an email with one PS3 code and one PS4 code.
Send me a message.
I ended up getting one of those too. I think itâs nice that they are giving these out like candy but why not just open it to everyone?
Guys we need to start getting fire teams together for different times of the day. I want to work with people that have mics.
It seems that i received new âcodesâ too, but when i click the links, it only shows me my old codes
I had no idea Destiny beta was on 360 too I thought it was only PS4 and Xbone anyone have a 360 code to throw my way? very curious to try this game.
You just missed one from me. I gave the last two to some buddies. The game is very different from Halo, leaning more towards Borderlands, IMO. Some games only have a hint of another game in them and they can pass it off by saying that they were inspired by the other game. Destiny is, in a lot of ways, high definition Borderlands 2. The 2 hours or so I had to spend with the beta tonight was fun. It being an MMO type game, itâs more fun with friends.
Yes downloading nowâŚ
@FurryCurryâ, sorry for being silent, i lend my headset to a friend some days ago
Why the fuck did my Xbox One take like almost 4 fucking hours to download the beta?!
Had you seen that ogre monster or grotto area before?
Nope
I dont even remember being on that area
Though i remember that there was a vid of the alpha showing that monster on another area.
Ok guys beta code for xbox one good luck !!! RY3M3-DKXMF-W3R2H-PQMXQ-4346Z
Iâve been anticipating getting off work to play. Iâm a little down that the level cap is 8, but I guess it makes sense for a 5 day beta. I have a couple of unemployed buddies on 360 who hit the cap last night, especially amazing to me when I realized that Iâd had the beta about an hour longer than them.
I think just doing all the missions on earth and spending probably 45 mins in Exploration will get you there easy.
I havenât played ODST or Reach so maybe those were narrative strokes of genius and I really liked Halo 1âs story focusing on guilty spark and the flood. That being said Halo 2 and 3 had cringe worthy plots and the pacing of their campaigns were just really boring so I donât understand how Bungie and âgood storyâ go together.
So I just played 3 hours of Destiny tonight and while I have some issues with it overall Iâm very impressed, it seems Bungie has taken 3 steps forward and 1 step back from Halo. I was skeptical about it ever since it was announced 2 years ago because I assumed it would be a Halo MMO and to a large extent it is, but I never thought a halo MMO would be so fun. It also seems to have borrowed from Mass Effect, Star Wars, and Borderlands while having itâs own identity.
Pros:
-Badass powers
-Meaningful skill trees
-Visually appealing art direction itâs not as bland and generic as Haloâs art is
-Atmospheric and good sense of world building, the game does a good job of making me curious about the universe and exploring it and the lore
-Loot
-Good customization options
-Combat is fast and fun, especially with large groups of enemies
-I like the HUD disruption effect when you get dropped to 1/3 health
-Enemies are aggressive
-In the first Earth level I wandered into some area and got 1 shotted by a hallowed knightâŚplease give me much more of this Dak Souls feeling, put in a lot more high level enemies
-Joining other peopleâs games or having random people join you is seamless
-Missions feel important, I donât feel like a random errand boy
-Melee attack is satisfying
Cons:
-Like Halo the weapons in Destiny are kind of boring like your average shotgun, rifile, etc
-Sluggish movement especially while sprinting you canât turn quickly, Bungie intentionally wants you to not be able to manuever well while sprinting
-Reused assets from Halo like shotgun sound effects
-Plays a little too much like Halo
-Jump still too floaty
-Cooldown on powers are too long
-Music is meh
-Grenades are not as strong as they were in Halo, they donât do nearly enough splash damage and have small blast radius
-Iâm interested in the premise of Destiny, but game is way too vague and dialog is too solemn and awkward
Iâm not sure that I agree with the cooldown on powers being too long, but then again Iâm also running around with like 40 discipline as a Titan, so my grenade cools down very quickly (I think it translates to about 75% cooldown reduction?). There are gear options that allow you to alter the cooldown, and options in the skill trees that allow you to have more damage etc if I recall correctly (not at my PS4 right now to check that last one).
Other than that, yeah, pretty spot on. The jumping being something that you can level and customize is a nice touch though - choosing the high-mobility option as opposed to the elevation boost is something that I will definitely be doing when my focus turns more to the crucible (and of course, it will eventually.)

PS4
you owe me french fries.
Also, HECATOM ADD ME TO THE GROUP.
Is there a person to sell obsolete equipment to or do I just dismantle?
Also is there PVP in the beta? I want some deathmatch
Also can someone explain the skill tree to me, like am I forced to accept whatever unlocks happen or do I get some kind of bonus if I donât activate an ability? As a warlock I see the first row of abilities unlocking fairly fast, but I havenât unlocked any in the other rows.
Done, AND STOP YELLING AT ME!!!
The moon is the current PvP area, so far there is only one mode (that i am aware of), and for what i know, at least on the beta, there isnât a way to sell your stuff, only dismantle it.
If anyone wants to play add me. Xxgomugomuxx
