Ive switched off of the mida… it gets beaten out of the meta (uriels gift) all the time for me. Anyone up for nightfall later tonight?
Same. I was running foetracer with mida, which is a fantastic combo but uriels gift makes it somewhat obsolete. Knucklehead and uriels gift is better I think.
I wonder if Uriel will get nerfed at some point, because everybody and their mother are using it.

Maybe the range needs to be brought in? Idk. Most ARs will poop on Mida if you can get into range. Uriels just doesn’t need to get as close because of how the weapon works.
But if Uriels bugs you, antiope beats Uriels. It has longer range than most smgs. Crits are 20dmg at 600rpm vs Uriels 23dmg at 450rpm. Plus kill clip is nasty.
The guns are close to being balanced. I think over tuning any one weapon allows another to run rampant.
It is noteable that Uriels recently passed Mida for most kills in Crucible. People are understanding where to not challenge Mida and Uriels is more versatile, so this doesn’t suprise me. I actually think Mida would get outright replaced in the meta if some of the energy slot ARs were kinetic.
Mida isn’t even the best scout rifle, Nameless Midnight has a faster ttk. Even Bungie doesn’t understand Mida’s popularity.
Dire Promise is my favorite PvP handcannon
It’s not high-impact, which is my favorite archetype, but I’m telling you it just feels like it hits where I aim at more than any other handcannon I try to use

Yea… I never use hand cannons because they’ve always felt wonky as fuck to me. Sunshot is great in PvE and I usually can’t even tell when I miss shots or not because shit’s just blowing up left and right the whole time. I don’t use anything that’s not an AR, SR or RL, actually. I’ll ocassionally use a sword but you’ll catch me dead before you catch me using a pulse rifle(other than vigilance wing).
Some people fucking blow at crucible and still haven’t caught on to the fact that it’s now teamwork centered. Go in groups of 4 or in pairs, ain’t that hard(obvious exceptions here and there). I know how a game will go when the match starts and the team just scatters everywhere like maniacs.
Chill out, form up and take a damn point.
Its random so you know thats gonna happen sometime. My issue is teammates quitting at the first sign of competition.
I haven’t really had an issue, there’s shitty games but for the most part i’ve found crucible to be a very enjoyable experience. More than aggravating it’s just funny to see how incompetent one can be.
Crucible is definitely much more fun with a full team of four on mics. It can be pretty frustrating solo.
I mostly use MIDA just for the always on radar. Still prefer this version of Crucible compared to D1
I was filling around with a lot of AR’s to see if I could find anything competing with Uriel but nothing thus far. Sand wasp is close to it but it isn’t any better so there’s no reason to use it. Origin story and Uriel are the name of the game right now. I picked up some random rare scout rifles with full auto that has amazing handling but the damage was not worth it.
What exotics are you guys running on your titans? I’m on crest of alpha lupi but I sometimes rock the feedback fence. Its terrible in PvE but provided you have one kill, you’re guaranteed to win a melee fight and I’ve gotten decent mileage out of it.
Actum Rig with Sweet Business, great in PVE, surprisingly good in pvp as long as you spin up as soon as you see any red on your radar.
In PVE I use either Crest of Alpha, but I’ve been messing around with Lion Rampant boots and those things are extremely fun to jump around with. In PVP I sometimes use the Dune Marchers with MIDA and it makes me so god damn fast. I’m still experimenting though. Haven’t gotten the Helm of Inmost Light yet. I heard it’s in D2 but don’t know if it grants Death from Above or not anymore.
Edit: I guess Helm of Inmost Light isn’t in D2. I didn’t think it was, but someone told me otherwise. I just googled it and it’s not. Too bad- I liked it in Destiny.
On my Titan in pvp i think synthoceps are the best exotic. But i dont run striker and i dont use any of the loadouts with shoulder charge.
Shoulder charge sucks. 2 grenades is nice on striker but i feel sentinel has a higher skill ceiling.
If you run synthoceps and code of the protector you get a 15 second overshield on ability melee kills, and you get health back on regular melee kills. Synthoceps gives you stormcaller ability melee range.
Its great if you prefer to play aggressive
Double post but i gotta tell you guys about a few weapons to look out for.
The only thing that beats Uriels is range. Uriels is top tier at its optimal distance. Nothing beats it straight up. Orgin story competes but Uriels will beat you in a ranged fight.
What you have to do is fight it at scout range or get to close mid with an smg or close with a burst fire sidearm.
Antiope-D is an amazing Uriels counter. It operates from close mid range. If you dont have Antiope-D, Phillip-B is its rare counterpart. You will shit on Uriels if you can keep your fights to where you get max damage. You’ll lose to Last Hope in close or ARs if you step too far out of range.
Then theres a Scout that out performs Mida at scout range. Well, more than 1 but Tone Patrol is the best ive found. It wont give you the movement or radar but its more stable and it also has high calibre rounds.
I think Antiope/Tone Patrol directly hard counters the Mida/Uriels combo thats extremely common right now.
I figured this out on my own but theres a less popular streamer/youtuber named Aztecross that was using it yesterday with great success. Its really strong if you want to counter the meta.
Im really hating the new rng for drops. I cant get a full set of ib gear to save my life. same thing happened with the faction rally
yep same i went back in to get a helm for my titan and no such luck. D1 IB drops were soo much better. I went in at lvl 304 and still getting all 293/4 drops even with an token (xp+drops) used… pathetic. Hopefully the drop rate and quality will be increased just before IB ends.
