It looks great. Really interested in the world map and how they will keep exploring fresh.
Also since warlock and hunter got a airborne side step like the twilight garrison; I wonder if Titans will actually have noticeably more defense and can be used as a short of tank since mobility is highly gimped for them it seems…
Yea, matchmaking will be hell though. Most people just weren’t good enough at the start of raids to complete them. I tried to ferry some noobs a few times… ended up spending hours on remidial shit. LFG should go away with the new system so great for that one or two people you are looking for.
It was legit in 1…niggas were too busy playing other shit wheneverI was in tho. @regulate is the only one I consistently played with. We raped pvp. I don’t plan on playing again until 2 tho
If he wants lore, he can just go to one of the many sites that have aggregated and made sense of the grimoire. There’s not enough lore in D1 to justify playing it at this point.
Nah, although like the game, at this point there is zero reasons to play it, both for newcomers and regulars as well.
For starters, nothing carries over and as a new player you will be in a real dissadvantage to play the meat of the game since you will be lacking both legendary and exotic gear to play the different modes. Specially true with a lot of legendary gear that is not accessible as the majority of the players have since those versions are not accessible with the vendors anymore.
Unless you actually have people to play with and are willing to carry you through the game, i really don’t recomend it.
I’m not sold on Destiny 2 either. What they showed felt like another expansion with some QoL changes. I played the first one a lot, but stopped after Taken King. I got tired of enemy reskins and the same old grind with not enough to do. Making the old raids obsolete(up until recently) really put me off. I was also designated the Trials of Osiris Sherpa by my friends(and then again by their friends), and that really burned me out of PvP.
I dunno, the biggest thing I got from that stream was guided groups and not needing to go to orbit. It’s just meh to me right now. I need to see more. If I do get it, I’ll get it on PC, which apparently is not releasing at the same time as consoles.
Looks like we’re all in the same boat. I LOVE the QOL changes, but those don’t justify buying a sequel. Don’t get me wrong, they’ve added some other good stuff like the sidequests and dungeons, etc. I just can’t justify to myself buying a sequel who selling point is “It’s Destiny 1 w/ all the stuff it should’ve had in the first place!” I need it to be that, PLUS a lot of other stuff.
Also Polygon confirmed that the Moon, Old Russia, Mars, etc won’t be Destiny 2 - at least not initially. That has DLC written all over it.
Datto has a bunch of videos up and if I wasn’t at work I would link them. Essentially Warlocks got the nerf bar and Hunters are still broken in PvP. The thing that has me worried watching all those and reading the stuff Bungie is putting out are the buzzwords. Accessibility, casual audience, streamlining are all being thrown out in abundance to a game that if we are being honest is already dumbed down and simple. Anytime those words are thrown around in a franchise, it is always to the detriment of the gameplay.
