Compare to other FPS PvP, how does Destiny stack up?
Also can they (for the love of god) make a PvP mode that allow you to equip all of your available exotics? I just wanna witness the carnage >:)

As far as Destiny compared to other FPS games in terms of PvP, it definitely has a trademark style of its own.
Where games like Call of Duty or Titanfall could be said to be about movement and getting the jump on the enemy, Destiny is really about the gun fight. Of course, Destiny has its fair share of bullshit, but at the end of the day, Destiny is less about the route you took and all the stuff you dodged to get the kill and is about that critical moment when you get someone in your sights. The game is paced such that good movement and tactical action is still important but unless someone straight crossed the soles out of your sneakers, you can generally follow the action most of the time.
Issues Destiny PvP has are the multiplayer mechanics more than the gameplay itself. For some of the different game modes, the spawning mechanisms are completely borked. Some maps will favor a side in particular modes, but those tend to be the year one maps and a few of the year two maps. The batch of maps otherwise is pretty well rounded. In terms of actual playing, when flying solo it will be virtually impossible to find randoms who join the available team voice channels. This means you will have to pay extra attention to the flow of the game, and to high traffic areas of the map so that you will get a handle on where people are spawning. Aside from that, the game is gravy. You just have to remember to have fun. If you take it super seriously, you will find yourself wound up tighter than your nephewâs toy collection.
Good things about Destiny PvP? Thereâs always something to learn. Itâs kind of like Tekken, where the more experience you have over someone, the more situations you can force and the more general knowledge you can wield to your benefit. There is always a new variation to learn, however. Lots of weapons with variety, but youâll see that the cream quickly rises to the top. Those top weapons can have some latitude if you are willing to experiment and find a playstyle that really fits you. Playing with a fireteam in the Crucible is one of the most fun gaming activities Iâve partaken in over the past few years, bar none. Even if your friends/family/whomever sucks, the game will always be as enjoyable as you make it.
Coming from Counter-Strike, I prefer Destiny PvP to other games like Team Fortress, Overwatch, Battlefield and Titanfall. Even though the game isnât as heavily tactical as Counter-Strike was when I played, it feels paced enough where every effective strategy is impactful while still allowing for a wide array of playstyles. Like playing the numbers game and staying safe? Defensive playstyles are great for controlling power positions and chokepoints. Like going absolutely ham and blowing shit up? Flanking is the leading cause of death among hardscoping wish-they-were snipers. And when your super bar fills up, that feeling you get isnât emulated by a single other game out there. Destiny is definitely its own beast, but how much you enjoy it depends on what you look for in a shooter and how seriously you intend to take it.
The only real thing I can add to your beautiful statement is that, I love that Destinyâs PVP allows multiple play-styles & for me , Iâm more of a rushdown, flank and just get a bunch of kills type of player.
And because of that it allows my teammates (Iâm more of a solo player) to push up front, dominate & allow them to dictate the pace of the match.
I have to admit itâs a beautiful thing once you witness it.
Is always interesting to see new lore from Destiny but also sad to see that such interesting lore is not in the game
cool. Thought the dawning might end on Tuesday, but not until the 3rd. Gonna kick back a little then and not ruin Christmas screaming at the screen.

Haakonâs Precipice is probably the most no-bullshit map for SRL. You have to pretty much take the lead before you hit the merry-go-round for the first time or you donât have a prayer of catching back up before the race is done.
Shifting Sands, on the other handâŚ

^Pretty much this.
I started using those tracks to finish off the other bounties in the books, like speed bump. Iâve probably called that speeder every name in the book and Iâll do it again by the end of the next race. Screw that thing. It seems to fight its hardest to keep me OUT of the winnerâs circle. Still, I want that disco bike. Somebody gonna get the lights shoved down their throat.

got the saladin gift box. FUCK!!! Not a DAMN thing worth a shit in it!! I guess no disco speeder for me then. I ainât buying those fucking boxes.

You get a box from the first heroic each week and from reaching SRL rank 5 on each character. You got a few chances.

might go for it, but I doubt it. Fucking hate racing the damn sparrow because it seems like that thing fights to get me out of first place, not into it. Points grab on weekly tho, iâm gonna be in it every Tuesday. The Ice Breaker will be mine again.

I think the frustration from SRL was due to people using the TTK sparrows. The long sparrows with the wonky center of gravity. Itâs all about the vanilla sparrows, man. If you got a Red Bull sparrow from the quest just before last yearâs SRL, thatâs the best one to use.
I used the Swiftriver and sometimes one of the others. I heard the raid sparrows with the boost was a pro and con since if you boosted too much Boom.

I think youâre right. I know TTK sparrows are cat shit for anything.
Ironically, I did end up getting the disco speeder in the end. I now realize that I shouldâve kept running over people because now I donât have all those armor pieces that I wanted and need. I think now the only way to get them is buying the boxes. Not a big fan of pay to play, so Iâm going to be going in guns hot on Thursday for Nightfall. If you PS4 peeps need an extra assassin, You know who to call.
âŚSomebody whoâs good at the game because I still suck. Nah, Iâll be on and out to finish multiple stages, so if you need me, Add deadlyraver on PSN.
EDIT: I forgot. Destiny resets on Tuesdays. :

Boxes are still here, so donât worry. One a week from heroics.

yep. Got the whole thing today. Probably gonna chill now and wait until something new hits. I still donât have the iceBreaker yet, but itâll wait.

The time has come once again to heed the Bannerâs callâŚ
âŚAND THEYâRE STILL NOT SELLING THE FRIGGIN HAND CANNON
COME ON EFRIDEET
COME ON
Oh shit son? Itâs back? might check it.

This is one of the easiest Banners yet. Get into a fireteam and proceed to lay all types of pipe. The carnage is real.
The Jade Rabbit is finally growing on me, never was a huge fan of scout rifles & with this Iron Banner I finally found a sidearm I like other than The Trespasser
If you like sidearms, check out The Wormwood from the GOAT faction Future War Cult.
