Once you get at rank 2 you have a chance to get it as a reward after the match, my brother and a friend got the cape that way, both over 280, 288 and 298 respectively.
You also don’t have to complete the whole quest in one day. Only The First Firewall and the timed mission after it. The rest can be completed at your leisure.
I feel like a complete noob again…I just had time to beat the story admidst Metal Gear and Disgaea, and um…legendary marks…did I miss something? I am level 40 and turned in like 7 bounties at once and zero marks. Beat the story, nothing. How…do I get them??
The fastest way I’ve been able to do it is dailies, weeklies, and of course the raid and Nightfall. The Easiest way to do it is to farm legendary weapons/armor. Not nearly as fast, but always good for 3-5 marks per dismantling.
my light level is 240, so dailys is the only option out of those for me right now. i guess i need to farm regular strike playlists until i get 260 for heroic strike playlists. the endless grind that is destiny
Got that ace of spaces hand gun last night for my hunter. Need to level up that bad boy and test it in IB. Finally got to do a raid last night got my titan above 300 at fucking last… my other characters should bee soon to follow. I just wanna get iron banner out of the way. It sucks that my old iron banner items are soo low now… i love the black and gold hunter cloak :bawling:
Now the real grinding begins… flakes for the touch of malice
Do quests as well. Some of them award Legendary Marks at their conclusion. I also suggest buying 3 of Coins from Xur and running the Taken Champion public events. Good shot at getting a 280 exotic from them when using a 3oC.
FYI Black Spindle mission is back today. Tried to run it this morning, but couldn’t get a fireteam. Everyone either wants you to be OP for the mission (305+) or carry them through. I’ve gotten close enough to know that you only need to be around 290 and have some skill. The last room isn’t nearly as difficult as folks make it out to be, but they don’t have patience. They rush to down the boss and let the adds accumulate, then complain when they’re pinned down in the entrance.
When you enter take down the adds. DPS the boss until he spawns blights. Find them, take them out clean up the adds, DPS boss again. Shouldn’t take more than 3 cycles with good damage, which shouldn’t be a problem if everyone has either Sleeper Simulant or an exotic sword.
It’s literally that easy, but every group wants to DPS the boss ASAP when the group doesn’t have the tools for it (ie no Weapons of Light, no Raze-Lighter for Phoenix Uppercut, etc). I do admit, with Weapons of Light, I could probably down the boss with just my Hunter while the rest focused on adds. But I don’t trust randoms to do that.
Did the raid last night.
The warpriest gave me a secondary weapon engram that was decrypted into the Hereafter in 310, Golgoroth game me a exotic chest that was decrypted into the Alchemyst robe in 310 and Oryx gave me the Thunderlord in 310.
Watched a video of that dude The Legend Himself solo Black Spindle with a Sunsinger Warlock. It got a me thinking what build I’d try with a Hunter. This takes into account efficiency of the first 2 rooms as well. Not considering gear I don’t have.
Nightstalker, due to crowd control abilities and Bloodbound. Target Majors and one Phoenix Uppercut should kill everything tethered to it.

[] Way of the Fearless
[*] Keen Scout

Primary - Apple of Discord (Hakke Pulse Rifle bonus, SC Holo, Headseeker, Rodeo, Hand Loaded), due to awesome DPS, large mag, quick reload and ease of aiming
Secondary - Long Far Gone (Solar, MD-Reflex, Surrounded, Quick Draw, Eye of the Storm), would prefer a shotgun here, but I don’t have a good Legendary one yet and want to save my exotic slot
Heavy - Raze-Lighter, best and most efficient single target damage in the game
Helmet - Aspriet 1.0, for the Heavy Lifting perk. Will allow me to Super at will.
Gauntlets - Sealed Ahamkara Grasps, more poison grenades
Chest - Aspriet 1.1, Armor bonus with Void subclass
Legs - Bog Wild 1.0, increased Agility after Solar double kill
Biggest obstacle here is the lack of any arc damage. Thought about going Zhalo Supercell and just using Sol Edge in the heavy slot, but Phoenix Uppercut is strong enough to get through different shields.
If I can get Spindle early tonight, I’ll try to give this a shot.
I heard something about it yesterday but didn’t encounter it at all. Reading Kotaku and other sites, people are saying it’s nothing but Shadowshots now.
