There’s this thing about “savin’ your hyper tactics.” With the advent of the internet, and access to strategies from players far better than you, we’re probably set on those leet tricks. “Not playin’ less it’s SERIOUS” is a fairly empty term, particularly since “when it’s SERIOUS” you got wrecked. Knowing all the characters is real cool and all, but if you’re mediocre with all of them the point’s kind of moot.
Also, DFW area has many fine, proven tournament players. Myself, Tony, JW, Toan; we have played in tournaments and not absolutely embarrassed ourselves. I dunno how you’re going to “step up and lead the unwashed masses of Dallas!” when we’re all better and more experienced…
They’re just games anyway, there’s not really a whole lot at stake with any of this. Except maybe $5-20 IN A HOT MONEY MATCH REAL COMPETITION HOOOOOOO BOY!
