You’re not alone in this. It’s sad that I’m the only person in my local area who actually buys games that are not only made from Capcom, Namco, SNK, Arc System Works, etc. Kinda like I’m the only person who plays Arcana Heart. Kinda makes me sad, really. Guess I’ll be the only person playing this in my area as well…this will probably explain why I can’t never get any better because I never have anyone around to keep me going to get better (online doesn’t help for the most part).
Think I’ll mostly be maining Miyuki. I’ll have Shana, Asuna, Kirino, & Rentaro as backup.
Soo, finaly prized my copies out of the cold, souless hands of parcelforce. (Handling fee? I already paid you to handle my bloody parcel and now you want extra?)
Not booted up PS3 version yet but it feels like some of the sound effects are missing in the Vita version, the characters are fun and it seems to play well but it is a bit offputting to see somebody do a full super and only be hearing the BGM, going to see if it’s the same on PS3 version or just space saving or something on the Vita.
Nowhere near finding a main yet, trying not to mess around too much so as to be on a levelish playing field with my mates when I play with them tommorow but Tomoko does seem pretty awesome, balls and sparkles everywhere.
One thing I really will give it credit for is having the movelist fold out on paper in the Vita version, printing manuals for Vita games seems to be a lost art these days so it’s a nice touch imo.
edit: Tried the PS3 version, the sound effects that seemed to be missing in the Vita version were all present and correct.
I’ll give this topic one last tap and leave it alone if it’s set to die.
Been messing around a bit more, I think the sound issue with the Vita might be to do with leaving it on one stage long enough for the music to finish, was building meter to do combos in match for a combo video (before I learned neutral bursting gave it to you on tap) and took so long to do it over several rounds of throwing stuff with Kirino and picking up the meter building item that the music stopped and the sound effects started to go.
It fixed itself round 3 every time when it went into the game’s OP theme.
Seem to be leaning towards Kirno/Enju as a main pair, Kirino can combo off almost anything, Enju gets rid of the “almost” from the previous statement as well as being able to shut down assists and interupt Tomokos setting up passes.
Add that to Kirino’s decent projectiles in the beach ball and tossing stuff special, mixup in her 236 series, decent sweep and nasty j.C and she just seems to be really good, well aside from her trump card, that’s ass but still worth using to activate the buff with the blue bar.
Recorded some of the crap I’d been testing into a combo video, was planning to record from PS3 but cross save doesn’t save replays and the footage would probably be even more wonky if I was holding a camera up to the TV instead of over a vita.
So how’s everyone else finding the game, it’d be nice to see a bit of life for it here rather than having to look elsewhere for discussion, wondering if GGXrd basicly came along and said “I’m releasing a couple of weeks after this” and stomped, which is kind of a shame.
(lmao dat title) I’ve got a friend who’s been playing this nonstop. No I mean that literally. Said he’d been waiting years for this game. That weekend he literally played three days in a row, and I think he’s on right now-trying to platinum the thing. Well, I’m not big on the fandoms for this game but it’d be awesome to see some hype for it. I have to admit I’ve watched nearly every anime the characters are from. xD
Yeah after the initial sound issue the Vita version is what I’ve been putting most of my lab time into tbh, just take the ps3 out and about when it’s time for multiplayer.
The game really does feel simple to get into whilst giving you a good amount of pressure, combo and neutral options when you’ve learned the system better, really liking Kirino and Tomoko still, Tomoko’s zoning isn’t quite as good as I first thought but she is scary once she gets a knockdown and Kirino is still just really good all round.
That said I’ve messed with Taiga a bit, she doesn’t seem to have much going for but I noticed that one time after cancelling her ex sled from 5A+B the last hit from the sled came late enough to combo after without an assist but I’m really struggling to replicate it, anybody got any idea how to make that happen again?
