Demon's/Dark Souls Thread. Dark Souls II!

I just got this game and I’m enjoying it. I made a priest and just killed the first demon. I upgraded Faith and Vitality twice, have 4000 souls and have yet to upgrade or buy any equiptment. I still have the first demon’s soul. What should I do for my character next? It seems really easy to accidently waste resources in this game.

CHeck this out guys. My brother was invading some people and the matches were being hella laggy and hence hilarious. I decided to record some and made a little video out of it.

Where’d your shield go… what are you DOING!!!

I don’t know >_>

Argh, I completely forgot about the Valentine’s Event. Is it still on?

By the way, I heard the event has been buggy…has the event worked out for you guys?

Last I played each world was pure white earlier this week and now everything is pure black. Just like they said. I last played this morning. The pure black world sucks when you’re new to the game. You simply don’t have enough experience with dealing with everything.

I just started the game recently. After playing through the tutorial with every class, I eventually settled on Royalty as my class of choice. I really like it. Having a backup plan as reliable as Soul Arrow with the mana-regeneration assist is really comforting, although my swordplay is first and foremost in my heart and mind.

So far, I’ve upgraded every single one of my stats at least twice, and I’ve gotten a new weapon(Long Sword+2), a new shield(Heater Shield+3), and some plate leggings for my gender-swapped Link impersonator. However, I have to ask…in world 1-2, there are these knight enemies that glow red. If I block an attack, it stuns me, and then they pounce in for a one-hit-knockout. I can’t seem to deal with them in any effective way, since Soul Arrow doesn’t work and neither does luring them into the path of my good friend, the dragon, since the fire hardly even hurts these fuckheads.

tl;dr edition: CAN’T KILL RED GLOWING KNIGHTS! WHAT DO?!

Back Stab… Try another weapon… Work on parrying… Hope this helps…

Sounds like this Pure Black World Tendency is crushing low-level characters. Don’t engage those glowing red-eye guys for a while. Go to world 2-1 instead.

Be a man… Stay in world 1-2…

Honestly?

Pull his bitch ass back to the tower you just climbed up and make his fool, heavy armor wearing self fall off a flight of stairs. Profit.

Seriously - you’re a Royal, after all - even if you fuck up and fall yourself, you’ll survive falling off a flight or two of stairs due to your EQ being so much lighter.

Just don’t fall the whole tower’s length… hopefully you’ll have made Red plummet to his death by the 3rd turn or so.

Hey, it’s not my character, but yeah, being a man and handling the Black Phantom Red-Eyes is the preferable answer.

Lol.

Behave - it’ll gut Yuna like a fish if he/she goes toe to toe.

Go to world 2-1? Fuck that, I am not letting this jackass beat me. If I have to go on some Rocky montage shit to take this motherfucker down, I’ll do it.

Don’t fight them. I assume you’re talking about the red knights that look just like the blue knights?

If you only increased your stats at about 2 times each that is not enough. And don’t just increase every stat just cause. If you’re upgrading everything it’s gonna take a long time. You need to aim for a medium. You’re spreading too much around and not getting enough souls. I’m mainly a melee attacker so that’s where most of my souls go. If your guard is being broken(you’re stunned) it’s because your defense is ass. I have a Knight Shield(basic no upgrades) and nothing breaks my guard except that really really slow sword slamdown attack the metal skull BP in 4-1 can do. Maybe your shield just isn’t enough. I know which shield you’re talking about.

You need to farm for souls. I would tell you to go to 4-1 but they put a Black Phantom metal skull knight there. If the PBWT is still in effect just play through 1-1. You should net about 2000 souls just by killing everyone but the BP weak enemies near Executioner Mirlanda and the enemies before you near the area where the items are near the dragons.

To be honest, 2-1 isn’t that hard even with PBWT. The amount of souls may not be worth it though. 1-2 isn’t hard either. The only time you might die is either via dragon fire or vs the two blue knights and their back up before the 1-2 boss. Just farm for souls and level up. I had Long Sword+3 and it wasn’t enough.

Go on a montage by killing the first 3-4 skeletons at the start of 4-1. Quick 10-15 soul levels right there. It’ll still gut you like a fish if it lays hands on you, though.

Honestly, don’t waste your time with the red eye knight right now. Let me get this out of the way and tell you that you won’t get through the door that the knight is guarding.

I want to be fast and do a lot of damage. I don’t usually put many points into defense because I almost never get hit.

Also, I said I upgraded every statistic at least twice. I’ve upgraded Dexterity and Vitality about five times each.

As a Royal, I upgraded Str and Agl just enough to use a couple of decent things I couldn’t - hardly any at all, and then pumped shit tons into Int and Magic, with just enough faith to be able to pull off a couple of miracles i.e. 2 slot Teleport spell, and a few in Vit.

My boy was a glass cannon.

And by cannon, I mean like the motherfucking*** Death Star.***

Where’s our damn DLC

If you’re getting wrecked by the Red knight, then obviously whatever you have may not be enough. Just level your shit up more. The level cap is like 712. Have fun.
