EDIT: Dammit, hit the wrong button.

I guess…I’d honestly kind of forgotten about them. I had to the look it up  shrug

Edit: You know i think what would have helped was to spread them out over Dreingleic instead of containing them all to the Forest of Giants.

Poison is OP in DS2. I had a guy poison me through my shield with dual whips, then roll around until I died(which took seconds). Bullshit.

Oh and Alex you need a +10 Shield for Artorias Greatshield. So you need a Titanite Slab.Stray Demon in The Asylum drops one. You can also get one from Sieglinde of Catarine if you finish her quest. Crystal Lizards and Darkwraiths drop them but it’s pretty rare, even with the Gold Serpent Ring and 10 humanity.

Just stock up on poison moss. Poison is honestly pretty terrible in pvp if your opponent is prepared for it.

Figured that one out. Finally have the Artorias Great Shield but I was at 33 Strength. So instead of mindless grinding I checked out the Painted World of Artorias. A tad on the easy side provided that you have a badass Chaos Flame weapon like me (Maxed out my Chaos Flame Great Scythe btw) but a pretty interesting map. The boss was kinda’ cool but I quickly figured out what to do and just camped that walkway you’re supposed to jump off of and blocked, the instant I block an attack I hit with a Hard Attack with the Scythe. Not too difficult, cool idea, I think my Scythe made it too easy.

Let’s see; obviously I killed the wolf. An okay boss fight, the biggest problem I had was a MASSIVE FPS drop during the fight. I swear it was at under 10FPS. I don’t know why, I watched an LP a while ago and the LP’er experienced no noticeable slowdown but he was on the console version.

Levelled up my Strength and Vitality and man, the Greatshield of Artorias is badass. I take virtually no chip damage and my Endurance is only lightly effected by even the biggest mofos. Those wheel skeletons only took down my endurance by maybe 15% and I took zero damage… And I’ve almost have it completely upgraded but I’m unsure if I should spend 4 Demon Titanite to get it to 100 or not.

Tried to fight Gwyn earlier (before upgrading to the Artorias Greatshield) and I suck at parrying. Just putting that out there. I hate Parries that require a specific button input, I prefer parries done with a motion like 3S or Garou or MGR: Revengeance. That and the Parries have shitloads of recovery.

Aside from Gwyn, I’ve killed all but 5 bosses:

Sanctuary Guardian
Knight Artorias
Manus (the hands of fate?)
Black Dragon Kalameet
Dark Sun Gwyndolin

You dont have the DLC?

PC version.

Also, I killed those Knights in the Abyss earlier (before getting the Artorias Greatshield) and all I can say is fuck that boss fight. That is the worst and most retarded fight in the game. Only boss fight I really had to look up how to beat. I honestly think Gwyn (even though I’ve yet to beat him) is a much more fair fight. At least it’s one on one and he doesn’t have this insanely good grab attack. If the Knights didn’t respawn it wouldn’t have been that bad. If they didn’t have either that Grab attack or either magic attack (that again, even if you block you still take a sizable amount of damage and lose endurance) then I’d be okay with it. I had to tank it and use Havel’s armor set and use Power Within and I was able to cheese them.

Fuck that boss fight.

I distinctly remember saying “Fuck you.” to the screen after I beat them.

The 4 kings are easy as long as you’re killing them fast , that is the only trick to that fight really. (well along with knowing the patterns too ofcourse)

Combustion and Chaos Fireball turn the 4 Kings into your 4 Bitches, hell, even a decent sword or katana with charcoal pine resin will. You can also hit a dying one for extra damage to take off of the total lifebar. By the time the 4th one comes out it has about 5% health left.

power within + great scythe on 4 kings. Start laughing maniacally.

Anyways for those that played through DS2 so that I can farm LOLs

The 4 Kings are shameless. SHAMELESS! I took down 2 of them and the 3rd strikes me in the back! NO HONOR. I’m playing recklessly though. Having 20 flasks is to blame for that.

The 4 Kings is my least favorite boss too. Everyone always says they’re easy but they’re really not unless you can take each one down really quickly. Which not every build can do at that point in the game.

Speaking of builds, I’m loving my Tank build in DS1. I finally got all the pieces of armor I wanted so I could make it look badass as fuck. Just put on the Giant Armor Head, Ornstein Torso , Giant Leggings and Havel’s Gauntlet’s and tell me that shit doesn’t look awesome. Looks even cooler with a Lightning Zwei in one hand and the Giant’s Shield in the other. Everything matches perfectly.

More importantly, I’ve always prioritized being able to roll out if danger instead of block and defend so this playthrough has been really interesting. I’m not gonna lie, it feels pretty damn good being able to just walk through multiple attacks without even flinching. And with Iron Flesh you can just forget about knocking me down. Ever. The Ceaseless Discharge couldn’t even knock me back with his strongest attack.

Is there a way to get more than one Iron Flesh in 1 playthrough?

That’s exactly what I did, except I used Havel’s Armor set so they couldn’t interrupt my attacks.

I can’t wait for the PC mod that adds a new Gesture where you give the finger. Someone better make it.

Progress report: Have killed Sanctuary Guardian, Knight Artorias, and Manus. Pretty cool little area. Knight Artorias was bad ass even though I killed him and the rest of them on my first try. Might try to kill Kalameet, the fatigue is setting in now.

The Four Kings when down in what has to the fastest boss kill speed I have since Pinwheel. Havel’s armor+Power within+two handed Black Knight Sword +5=OBLIVION.

Beat the game. And to all who doubted me and said “Haha, he’s DSP HURRRRRRRRRRRRRREERRUGHRJKASFHRAJKKASGHSFHRASGHGHSH!!!” and posting your image memes, and I doubt most of you could unlock The Kid in Super Meat Boy. This is what I say to you:

With that said. I liked it. It’s flawed. But once you get over the hump it starts to get really good. It’s the kind of game that when you say that it’s awesome and you recommend it you need to add an asterisk and add at the end: this is not friendly to new-comers, it’s best to look up a guide to get your going, check Neogaf or the souls Wiki/forums. Even Yahtzee said that.

So, after leveling up my Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity a bit (I think I was a level 92) I killed Gwendolin. Mind was blown when I read it was a dude. Not too terribly hard of a fight. It was a fun fight though. I also figured out how to skip intros by hitting END or the Menu button on the keyboard finally… I used Havel’s Armor set (It took up about 72 out of 84 of my Equip limit) and Flash Sweat. Fun fight. Greatshield of Artorias was the only boss weapon I made and I like the fact that (except for upgrading Resistance) that you can beat the boss in multiple ways. It’s not like there’s only one way to do it and I like that. One thing I forgot to mention is that I find it refreshing that the game doesn’t bore me with story and tutorials and all this other shit like modern games but some direction like “Use this item here and something will happen.” would have been nice.

9 out of 10. Bring on DS2.

I badly miss my Lighting Zwei in DS1, shit was pure ownage everybody was fray to that monster. Interesting enough, I never died once against Four Kings I just raped them with magic. NG+ though is another story lmao

Man I’m sooo fucking lost in DS2. I made it to some forest and there’s locked doors everywhere, also paths lead to dead ins. Fuck man, I might go back down to the gutter lol. Ohhhhh yeah I found a Chloranty Ring +1 there though shit is kickass–it was worth dying for it
