Demon's/Dark Souls Thread. Dark Souls II!

Yo I peeked in there. Moonlight Butterflies out the ass, I saw that shit and bugged the fuck out.

It’s not even really the enemies that make that area hard for the first time.

You’ll see…

Not for a little while I wont lool. Think I’ll take my chances in hell instead of that damn Library.

or will he

My response to the graphical downgrade in the retail version of Dark Souls 2:

Haters can just shove a poop on a stick up their butt sideways for all I care, dark souls 2 is great

Bet you would like to see it^

While I haven’t played DS2, I know it’s going to be a great experience. But From Software Jew’d out, and removed the beta’s graphical detail even though it ran pretty smoothly. They’re already discussing a PS Quats and Xdone port; that should tell you the extent of what kind of things Bamco is cooking up behind our backs.

Still though. I’m definitely paying full 60 for Dark Souls 2. Need to platinum some games before I move on .

I demand both.

anyway

after upgrading adaptability, Strenght and Dexterity

The game is easier than dark souls…Granted, I just got to the lost sinner tower. So IDK if the game increases in difficulty. However, having NPC and others to help you in boss fights make the boss fights so damn easy. I’m going to have to play NG+ with no summons, since the bosses thus far are really easy.

That’s pretty fucking glorious.

Ya I knew you would say that, you want everyone to be gay like you. Stfu you idiot shit eating down syndrome duck fucker

your feathers get ruffled too easily. consider lowering your sodium chloride levels?

Thanks Phantom Angel for the tip. I guess I’ll be lighting my first torch in the game!

Sinners’s Rise is laughably easy compared to the shit this game throws at you later on.

Slayed Old Dragonslayer. Lost Sinner is still giving me a run for my money. I killed off two of the three bosses in Lost Bastille. I had a quarter health left and it has half a bar. I back away, thirsty for a taste of my flask. As I drink this bastard does that spinning attack. Before my health regens, I was struck. Death. I shut off my PS3 and walk away. Only the Souls series has actually make me turn off the game upon defeat.

In Dark Souls 1, as long as you got the flask in before the hit, it would register that you had the health already even if the bar didn’t fill back up all the way. Now it has to actually reach the specific point in your health bar, which makes panic-flasking almost never viable.

Also SPOILER PLZ.

DS2 world is soooo massive it’s awesome… I already forgot like half the shit you had to do in this game… Anyways, I’m at final boss now, and after I do beat it I will re-roll a new character instead of just respeccing for ng+. Went through this playthrough with the safe sword n shield method. Gonna do no shield next playthrough.

I don’t remember if DS1 increased the boss’ HP when you summoned? But man, bosses are a lot harder when you summon a noob who dies asap and you’re stuck with a high hp boss.

The best part about that is a lot of people don’t truly understand it yet. I had a guy try to Estus right in front of me during the rat invasion I was talking about before. He got backstab punished for it. Then he tried to turtle it out with a great shield and got guardbroken xx FADC, Critical Hit.

I love this game.

But I also hate it.

Anybody have any hard data on how ADP and agility work? I have heard conflicting things, some claim it only adds one I-frame at 38 ADP to your roll, some swear it adds more. The only tests I have found on it have really strange results that make no sense. Of note, DEX and ADP synergize well together. Every point in ADP raises natural poise so long as your ADP is less than your DEX.

Another question for any Dual wielding builds out there. If you dual wield the darkdrift or the shotel does the heavy attack take on the properties of those weapons? That is, does your dual wielding heavy attack ignore shields? I was thinking of potential shenanigans with a posion darkdrift and manslayer for some shield ignoring+poison attacks. I’d test myself, but I haven’t gotten those weapons yet in my new play through.

Dude, don’t say that! lol

Didn’t get to play today, cant wait for tomorrow and to take the advice I was given in here. I’m going to chop that boss DOWN!

Earthen Peak… I’m motivated

There’s a pretty cool NPC you can summon after you do it, so look for that.

ADP effects a myriad of things involving the general “quickness” of your character. It ranges from adding I-Frames to rolls, how fast you run, how fast you put your shield up, ect ect…and it definitely adds more frames than that.

My ADP started around 14 or something. It’s at 26 now and the difference is ridiculous.
