Wow, I’m with everyone else here.
Not a fan of DLC, but this is possibly the first time I’ve ever gotten excited about DLC.
Anything to keep me playing Dark Souls would be nice.
There’s one ring that has Poise on it, other than that you just have to equip “heavy” armor. There’s no actual heavy armor class or anything, but generally the heavier weights have better poise

If I wanted a challenge I’d play a fighting game that is a lot more fun and rewarding. If I want an interesting story, characters and world I would play Skyrim or Witcher 2, not this piece of trash Dark Souls game.

How come this game doesn’t get boring? Helping people kill Gaping Dragon has given me hours of fun. Also, watching people get eaten by him is an awesome sight.
Then I feel sorry for you then. There’s many games out there that have better boss battles and is just as challenging. You may enjoy getting people eaten by him to brag and say that you beat him easily. That’s all this game is really good for. Braggers, masochists, and achievement hunters. Do you want a pat on the back now?

What’s wrong with this guy? I’m not trying to brag. I’m just having a good time with this game. It seems to me that you tried to play Dark Souls and got your ass kicked so hard that it made you rage quit the game forever.

Dammit. I got the Platinum for this game, but I still wanna go back and play more. I got too many games on my queue too…
“Interesting” characters all sharing the same 5 voice actors, a drawn out story with horrible pacing, a game filled with meaningless sidequests to pad your game time, awful melee combat, and of course a game responsible for one of the worst memes in recent memory. Oh and did I mention it’s also a buggy piece of shit?
It’s fine if you guys like the game. I’m hating on it just because I think its overrated. I only got the game because it got so many good reviews. Then when I played it I found it disapointing. I shrugged it off and continued playing it. I studied the game and watched “lets play vids” people would exploit the game to get through it and farm for souls, alot of repetition, the framerate was awful on xbox 360, still I continued until about 20 hours, then I decided this game isn’t worth it, it wasn’t rewarding and it didn’t keep my interest as the game progressed. I’m not a fan of farming for stuff and endless grinding so I quit and sent that game back to gamefly. Took forever to summon someone on xbox live as well. So many flaws, not that many strengths. I felt cheated of my time which is why I hate this game and the reviewers who gave it a highly rated score.
Several people in this thread feel exactly the way you do about skyrim, I felt super cheated of my money and time on that game. Different strokes for different folks and all that.
I feel VERY cheated by Skyrim.
I have the PS3 version, though.
But there is no excuse for shafting one group of players, so fuck you, Bethesda.
