Not many have S boosts. Any weapon can get S boosts in Demon’s, but yes it seems less than Demon’s even with S boost.At the same time they’re still more useful than the raw path.
I wonder if they balanced the regular weapons with A/B (rather than a bunch of S stuff) modifiers thinking that we were just gonna get a bunch of resins and go all elemental on the weapons… seeing as how regular elemental weapons are so good.
My pyromancer is missing, where did he go?

Doesn’t do shit. I have an A long bow and a S pharis bow my total damage on one is 310 (S) and on the other is 320 (A), and this is with like 50 dex.
They said they’ll patch to fix it, but I hope that doesn’t mean that they’ll just nerf lightning/fire to bring them more in line with the scaled weapons. What sucks worst is that most of the troublesome enemies have high resistances against regular/slash/pierce damage anyway.
I don’t even know what I’m complaing about anymore. Raw weapons do blow.
I’m not really too sure. I was mashing to get through his banter and said no. I had to look up what would have happened if I said yes. All I know is that he is somewhere in the swamps.

Dang that sucks it seemed way bigger in Demon’s when sticky bow went from +4 to +5 I use an enchanted long sword so I still do decent damage
Actually, checking out the “The Hateful Truth” that was posted here a few pages back on DS’s review on Dark Souls. Some parts seem kind of confusing to me.

He complains about how you HAVE to know about the jump attack against the tutorial boss, but states how it never explains it anywhere in the game about it.
I remember seeing an offline note saying “press Attack while in mid air” and when I walked through the fog, 40 feet below me was the boss, so I put 2 and 2 together.
Then he says how complicated magic is, and says how no where in the game does it state how to use magic.
Funny thing is, the magic system is slightly different from Demons. After hearing this, I read the manual in Dark Souls, and it explains it all there.

Hey don’t sweat it, I watched some vids and he didn’t lock-on till part 60 or something, even though it’s in the tutorial and manual. Though I had to admit, he also showed how dumb getting the drake sword is because it allowed him to just try to tank things with his face and eventually win out.
I haven’t gotten the drake sword on my new play throughs. It really did make the beginning of the game way too easy for me, kinda took away from the experience a bit.
Forget drake sword, you can get gravelord sword at the beginning of the game if youre good at running…its got 55 more atk and can probably get you thru the game.
Is there a way to see the total number of times I’ve died?
I really liked the final boss.

I started a new file to do a STR based build as well, and somehow, on the very first Black Knight, he dropped a Black Knight Sword. I know what I’m rolling with for this character’s entire playthrough lol

Like the game goes straight to Credits or something? Demons Souls ending was like “now you control the big tree thing. Buh bye!” and you see the big tree thing for another 15 seconds, then credits. Is Dark Souls anything like that?
