All the nerf guns come with some kind of fail safe that makes the pressure coming from the “bullets” a bit more safe.
Taking out this fail safe allows the bullets to actually shoot fuckin’ far, and for most nerf guns, even hurt at close range :eek:
Never had these as a kid, had one of the footballs but that was it. Even had to settle for the cheap off brand super soaker knock offs lol. I was mad jealous of friends that did have them though, always got stuck with the shitty guns.

It’s even useless to kids under the age of 5 since there’s no way to control the shield. It’s just wraps around your arm (or hand if you are an adult) and it’s just floppy. The dagger is neat but useless since daggers are meant for stabbing and this one is weaker than the other swords.

N-Strike/Vortex seems really solid already. Not sure what they could add to the line. I think a revamp to make the guns more reliable overall would be best. I certainly don’t feel the need to buy more guns though however.
I own one of these, lol @ the box saying it’s quick firing. Takes so much damn force to pull back the slide, and you have to do it with every single shot. Tired me out trying to fire that thing constantly.
Do they make any long range nerf guns? I want to snipe people for extra annoyance.
There’s an improved version of the Maverick called the Spectre but it only holds five rounds. It’s easier to fire shot after the shot. And any gun with CS in it’s name is even easier to shoot. The Alpha Trooper CS 18 and the Recon CS 35 (name, dart type, rounds it holds at once) have ‘slam fire’ which lets you hold down the trigger and pump shot after shot at a quick pace.
They make ‘sniper style’ guns but the one currently on the market doesn’t have the greatest range. Almost all nerf guns can be modded to have an improved range however (like going from 35ft max to 50+ft) but if you are talking about shooting someone from one end of a football field to another you can forget about it.The nature of the ammo (darts, even Stefans) will prevent that.
Edit: But if all you want is maximum range buy one of the new Vortex guns. Especially the Praxis.
