You’re an idiot. He asked an honest question and a valid one since turtling and zoning/keepaway gets mixed up often. INstead the thread was turned into a joke. Just a bunch of useless members that think they have the right to hijack threads because they are considered “respected” veterans of the site.
dont ruin his thread with your attacks emil
he already got not one but TWO valuable responses on definitions, and he got a good response within the first post
How I’d define.
Zoning: setting up attack patterns to keep the enemy at distance. The class example of zoning would be the SF2 fireball/uppercut trap
Spacing: setting up attack patterns to limit the enemy’s ability to punish your moves. Spacing requires knowing the recovery and range of your moves.
The two are similar, but slightly different.
Mixup: a situation where the opponent has two or three choices, and a wrong guess leads to damage or a worse position. The classic example of mixup would be a SF2 tick throw, or a situation where you have to guess block high or low.
BTW Woof, I don’t think Melty is a good tutorial game for this, it is too damn confusing for new players.
(edit: caught me brainfarting and typing in the wrong game.)
LOL wow dude
wow indeed…you might need to make a thread to explain what some games look like…
I meant Melty. I have dumbass moments at times.
You meant Guilty Gear?
That witch is so I-No and the lil school girl is Bridget.
No, hes right.
Emil, you are a douche bag and none like you. With that said, you have scared off a few new people.
I love you, woof.
