The match is in DJs favor until Dudley gets U1. I can play footsies but the risk reward is so bad for deejay. I land 3-4 pokes but if Dudley makes 1 good read then he eats up your lifebar, knocks you down and now you all fucked. Dudley abuse your cr.tech because of the 5 frame start up, we have no reversal and Dudley can combo off of over heads.

the key to beating thirtyfour is to not get hit ever and if you get hit dont get hit a second time cause you will be dizzy if you didnt get dizzy after the first hit. Lucky for me I’m magical so I never get hit.

Dudley’s easy if you’re using “kicks only” rules.

i proposed a FT10. he wanted one game. I’m confident with my skills, but one game is too much of a risk.

One game? What the shit, who the hell plays a money match based on one game only. Maybe he wanted a one round 30 second match as well?

Foamo, record the dummy to mash dp, and just jab the shit out of it until you feel you are at a safe distance. Try adding a c.mp sometimes so you improve your links as well.

So I’m guessing by the high amounts of anti-hype permeating that Deejay didnt really gain any notable tools, huh? You guys utilizing that cancelable standing mp?

i try to, but cancelling to fireball doesn’t work when a fireball is already on screen.

if you throw a hp fireball, then somebody jumps you can get the cancel. sometimes off of far jumps too.

they need to make it hit crouching, along with stand jab and fierce.

In all seriousness, Super to U1 is definitely a notable tool, people have been rocking that in tournaments a decent amount. Probably not better than dash U2 in the long run, but it’s a valid strategy.

Cancelable MP isn’t turning out to be as good as I thought (and said) it would be, but it’s getting more use as an anti-air now that its hitbox has been extended.

They only intersting thing that I have found with far mp is that I can pull the Gooteks shimmey against Balrog. I start a block string, step back far enough so that my far st.mp will barely whiff but stand close enough for it to counter hit Balrogs cr.lp or cr.lk (they usualy mash jab). If Balrog doesn’t mash anything, the far mp will whiff but it can be whiff punished but if the Rog crouchtech or input cr.jab, you can then super cancel. I even caught PR Rog with that setup. The only reason it works because far st.mp hits Balrog crouching. Unfortunately the other characters that it can hit are grapplers, except Sagat and I believe Gouken. I must try this same setup against those two.
