DeeJay General Discussion

cool thanks a lot guys i’m clear now and will be sticking with dee jay for sure!

i definitely think every character should have a frame trap thread, they’re an important part of the game and seem to be the most unmentioned, they’re rarely even mentioned in guides.

I think frame traps are ignored largely because they are obvious a lot of the time from the perspective of players who are playing at a good level.

Like you know what normals are quick. You know what normals are + on block. They sort of write themselves.

Understanding why a particular frame trap is good based on the data behind it will do way more for your game than simply knowing a setup.

true, are there any good guides on working out your own frame traps? one for retards…i don’t think good

headed to big two today. hopefully i don’t get blown up again.

Good luck

Dammit! Today is another Big Two tournament, and just so happens to be the same day I’m leaving NYC to head back home for the holidays :frowning:

Ah well, tell us how your DeeJay fairs this time around.

Argh 4th again. Or tied for 5th. Lost to sanford in winners and Chris hu in losers. Got perfected my last game because ex upkicks didn’t come out and exposed for mashing crouch tech against Chris hu. I’m salty about the Chris Hu loss, but sanford just beat me. His mind is too strong.

I know you probably aren’t happy with this, but you can hang, and I think thats an important designation when most people can’t.

Well done mate. Any videos knocking about of those matches?

Spooky wasn’t able to stream tonight’s tournament at TNL. Nor was I able to go. Twice the profound sadness in one night -_-.

No replays, but my losses were not free. Earned a lot of respect from some popular locals.

Daigo says every character aside from a few, including Deej, can be high-mid to high

sigh

i’m not happy, but i’m not mad. i’ve gotten so much stronger. Sanford admitted he was afraid of playing me in tournament. Good player + an unfamiliar matchup.
the way i’m looking at it is that i’m consistent. There are people out there all the time that can’t do what i’ve done. I’ve only lost to strong players. So eventually i’ll catch up. Its hard being in CT and not enough money/time to travel.

the thing that sucks is that i’ve gotten this strong and still am not good enough. i’m trying not to blame deejay because i love the character. he plays perfectly into the way i like to play the game. My loss against chris hu demonstrated deejay’s weakness.

i’m glad i’m getting the respect i finally deserve.

now we need a little bit respect from “crapcom”

i’m just saying ex seismo has a lot of invincibility and leads to ultra. can’t we get something like that in ex mgu?

that’s all i need right now. a chance to get out of ground pressure.

Now I’m imagining deejay doing the mgu motion and fists coming out of the ground at various points

deejay 2013 buff thread. ex mgu buff with more invincibility or just put an armor frame on it.

Any idea how much damage and stun st.hp juggle into st.hk is? And what causes the st.hp to cause juggle? I’ve been using it ALOT recently in practice I but I cannot seem to recreate the juggle effect in training mode.

juggle is counter hit only and on the first active frame of st. fierce.

damage and stun can be found on your own now that you can reproduce the experiment.

Thank you sir, I caught a ton of dive kicks over my projectiles, so I see now why I was getting it so often.
