Hey I was wondering how do you find out where local SSF4 tourneys are going on? I am trying to get in that scene but I know that you will prob live in a different place than me but I am just looking for generalities
theey got a list of major tournies and events on the calendar in SRK, and also try checking out your local matchmaking threads for your town or area.

well played Da Knut. Once the short hops started taking out his limbs on jump-ins seemed like he gave up on poking from range and started all out running. Once you got in it was rape.

How essential would you guys say it is to learning Dee-Jay’s EXMGU>U2 setup? I’m having issues doing it on a 360 pad and don’t really know how I’m going to improve on it. I perform his combos and other things quite decently.
I’m bout to get outta work and head over to ect, i think I’m too late for the tourney but I’ll be takin peoples money on the side.
you need it for your comeback factor which is very essential.
I think with the help DJ got in AE regarding his dash Ultra any DJ player wanting to get serious with him should have it down or at least have the ability. In Super it was damn tricky and like the top 1% of players could do it consistently so not being able to do it wasn’t a huge knock against you. Now I’d say 40-50% of the top DJ’s can do it so you shouldn’t really have much excuse.
I could get dash U2 consistantly since last year but I doubt I’m even a top DJ. Like Jcool says it just gives you the comback factor, like it gives him damage potential. I’d say matchup knowledge is more important to be a good DJ.
I agree, fundamentals, awareness, reaction and the ability to mixup and be unpredictable are way more important than the dash ultra 2, but like I said, you should have all those things now IMO.
