Blackadde posted some intersting images. Not ALL of Deejay’s hitboxes, but enough to get some discussion going.

So what you want to be looking at as far as the normals are concerned are the thin yellow outline and the solid red block. The Yellow outline is your vulernable hitbox, and the red is the attacking hitbox. (The first post is that thread talks about the other hitboxes. Like solid blue for throws…)
So anyway for a move like Deejay’s slide (c.Rh) the yellow hitboxes extend pretty far past his red hitbox, which means its really not that great of an antiair, depending on your opponents air attack. (Take a look at Chun-Li’s j.RH and you’ll get the idea.)
Yeah, everything else would be very remarkable… I guess what Lord Arklon is saying is that reversal DP will whiff if you time it right.
its more like, DP will whiff if RYU times it wrong. Only thing ryu cant DP is a Safe Jump by DJ. But crossing up RYU you run the risk of getting DPed by RYU. The trick is to keep the cross up ambiguous so that Ryu has a hard time gauging which way to do the motion. Correct me if im wrong.
Yeah you are wrong because you just do the DP motion in the non-crossup direction and press punch at the right time and the DP comes out the right way.
Anyway, I think I am giving up on DeeJay. I blow with him. I do alright in endless matches but I lose to random people in ranked matches to the scrubbiest tactics. It makes me rage hard. I can’t take it anymore
Don’t give up!!!
i loose to scrubs in ranked matches don’t bother me no more
the do the most random things theres nuffin you can do
looking for a good deejay to play on xbox
You guys were right about j/hp shit is awesome! Jumping HK was always my go to move but this is great for if they’re above you. Also, I just STUFFED a reversal DP from Ryu with this somehow. I was Vortexin that shit and went for the j.hp un crossup shit and Ryu tried a dp and I beat it clean! Wonder if they’re is a fullproof way to do this
Hey man, just find a character that suits whatever style you like to play and keep practicing.
all that hitbox info showed me was that St HP is not good and i’ll stick to upkicks.
Cody back mp = Dee Jay’s ST st. mp :lame:
you feel like getting some matches in self?
I agree, it explains why I keep getting trades off S.HP. Upkicks are awesome of course, but we need a normal AA for those times when we have just thrown an air slasher and lost the DB charge. I think S.MP works really well for this.
I hope that somebody will post all of Deejays hitbox info at some point. The little bit that I have seen has already been immensely helpful.

I was trying to get back into stride with Chun after playing with Deejay for awhile and I really just couldn’t do it. I guess after two years I finally have a main.

sorry, quoted the wrong person.
Yeah sure man, if our connection is good anyways. Just send me a friend request on Live and hit me up next time you see me on, my mic is currently busted though. I’ll be getting one in the next few days though.
i played Rog simply because DeeJay wasn’t in the game. i’m still good enough with Rog that i could take him out if Dee Jay isn’t doing well but DeeJay feels perfect for me.
Snap. Although DeeJay plays a bit too differently to his ST counter part for my liking. RIP jmk clp clp upkicks super.
fasho, ill send you one next time im on,k? havent played enough deejays.he is just one of the coolest characters period lol, btw which ultra are yall deejays using mostly and why?i like Ultra two the best
i agree i miss upkicks to super and super to upkicks
Depends on match ups, if its t.hawk or something. Then its ultra 1. Other then that ultra 2, because I can combo from it mid screen. ;3
