Hillary just look like a fool on the Farakan portion.

Almost like she was jumping up and down saying Let me talk!!!

Then Obama is like…“What?”

Yeah, Obama is saying all the right things…but they are all completely contradictory.

I really think that circulating that picture as a negative will only hurt the Clinton camp. It just makes her look racist.

No…

You don’t have to be a racist to see a turban and have your face go from  to :expressionless: to :(. Really, it isn’t going to hurt her.

I think you do have to be racist to really get shocked about a turban. Racist or just so sheltered that this image wouldn’t have mattered anyways since you wouldn’t have voted for a half-black president.

Would you say the same about McCain in a gray suit with a pointy helmet? The fact is, when you see an American politician, one running for president no less, wearing an outfit with a turban and sashes that are meant to hold a machete and an bandolier, you’re not normal if your mouth didn’t open a bit and your eyes didn’t widen.

So now you’re equating Muslims to the Ku Klux Klan?

What I picked up from the second half of the debate that I got to see was something that I have been trying to nail down for a while but couldn’t put my finger on.

Hillary Clinton’s pitch is that **she **will change the government. **She **is going to use **her **experience to fight for you. **She **will fight the republicans for reform. **She **will make change happen. She is pitching the same sit back and let me make decisions for you government that people are tired of.

Whereas Barack Obama is pitching change brought about by the people. When I he gets into office he wants the **american people **to get involved, to have the people make their politicians work for them. Hes preaching get off your ass and do something about your government. I think people respond to that message in general, but coming from the president it has alot more weight behind it.

It serves as a very effective counter to the experience issue.

Well i guess i’m not normal then.

It would’ve been different if Obama was in Iraq wearing that outfit then i would definitely understand BUT he was Africa wearing Kenyan garments. Its pretty stupid how people are still making a big deal out of it.

I like all of these speeches, they’re well done for debates. They have every right to drill Clinton like they’ve been doing and Obama is just sitting there like a cool cat but right now he’s getting it easy but that’s all good campaigning.

Maybe in 2000 in might have, but not in 2008. You’re missing one of my points, and I’ve said it from the beginning, Nader is DONE. He has NO influence anymore. And why? Because this is his third time in the game, and each time he becomes more and more of a joke. You can say what he’s TRYING to do, but what he’s DOING is pissing into the wind. I’m a realist. And realistically, none of those candidates, anybody in Washington (or American voters) give two shits about Nader anymore because they realize what little influence he had eight years ago has withered up and dried like the comedic reruns of his continuous presidential “campaigns.”

Where did I tell YOU or anybody else not to vote for third party candidates? Again, let me repost that since it seems you may not have read it properly:

Vote for yourself for all I care. You have just as much of a chance to win as Nader, and I’m sure you know more about your own personal views than Nader does, so cast a vote for pherai in '08.

You’re thinking in terms of people who know the difference between countries so it doesn’t make sense to you. If You think we’re at war with Iraq and Afganistan and know the difference between those places and Kenya of course it doesn’t make sense. If you were a real American however you would know we are at war with “brown people” who live “over there” and that picture was definitely of “brown people” and they were wearing clothes from “over there” so of course both of them must be terrorists.

I think that it shows extremely good taste to present yourself in formal garb of another country. In the end, don’t we want to be amiable with other countries? If you come to my country, wear a suit, but if I went to Kenya, I’d try to dress for them. This shows good manners and diplomatic ability.

The gray suit and the pointy helmet was a reference to Nazis. But Obama is wearing the uniform of warriors who commited massacres. So would I liken the people commiting genocides in Africa to Nazis? Yes.

Like I said, I’m pointing this out because he’s wearing it while it was the uniform worn by some seriously awful people. It doesn’t matter where he was wearing it, and in most instances, why. He’s wearing the uniform of a group responsible for all sorts of atrocities. You can’t spin that in any way to be ok. It’s not like he’s wearing a dashiki. He’s wearing a military uniform.

And it really isn’t being made into a big deal. The press has done a pretty good job of completely ignoring it.

A better comparison would be going to North Korea and wearing one of these.

Yes, you’ve said you’re a realist enough already. People use the same tired jargon about every third party candidate. Whether it’s Nader, Paul, or Kucinich, they are all self absorbed nuts, or wackos. The same guys in Washington laughing at Nader are laughing at American voters while away on lobbyist paid vacations, drinking lobbyist bought champagne. Why should I care what they find comedic? Why should I care if the average voter laughs along with Rush Limbaugh, or Al Franken, or any blowhard pundit, happy that they are on one of the two teams that can actually win? Fuck all of them.

Don’t patronize me with this “Where did I tell YOU who to vote for?” after characterizing people who support third parties as naive idealists. I can respect you disagreeing with that kind of motivation for voting, but when you imply that those people just don’t understand how the world works, you’re being pompous.

I dunno how much respect I had for Tim Russert in the past, but it went way down for grilling Obama on Farrakhan’s endorsement. Was there a point to those questions at all?

Yes. How can your respect for a moderator go DOWN for actually making people answer questions?

Hm… I don’t understand what you said but it had nothing to do with my question…

::rubs eyes::

Obama was being supported and pushed by antisemites. Russert called him on it, and Obama blatantly tried to dodge the question. Ron Paul had the exact same problem with Klan members supporting him, but didn’t try to dodge the question. Once again, I don’t see how you can criticize Russert for making him answer a question. I give him credit for not falling in line and just letting Obama BS his way out of anything he wants.

Listen little boy what is retarded is that clowns such as you are so focused on something that isnt important at all in the elections. Im sorry now just because a random obama hating ass (conservative christian) want to discredit him based on his middle name and a picture doesnt make it valid. I wouldnt be surprised that all of that Pat Robinson zombies think the same way too regarding the pic .
