OOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooh

Not necessarily. Obama might be leaving the same bad taste in some people’s mouths as Bush did landing on an aircraft carrier in a flight suit with a big “mission accomplished” banner in the background.

Declaring mission accomplished after landing on an air craft carrier for a war that was unnecessary, worth a trillion dollars and counting, destabilized the middle east, killed innocent iraqi’s and us solidiers, etc, etc. is not even close to having a presidential seal that looks like the real thing, greek columns at an acceptance speech, and buying 30 min. ads on television.

Not even close.

Extravagance is relative as far as I see it. If Obama’s so called “rockstar” behavior was maintained throughout the course of his inauguration it would be tolerated the same way Elvis’ gyrations and overdressing became accepted by the mainstream. This goes against the standard behavior of the former president who has a more conservative base. The “mission accomplished” crap was just blatantly retarded propaganda as well.

People rationalize what is socially acceptable not only from their surroundings but also by the common behavior of their icons.

Why is this thread not called OBAMA 2008:we got dem taxes nigga

Clearly McCain is going to cancel taxation and thus there’s some merit to your idea.

Hahah. When the majority of journalists describe themselves as liberal, you know damned well they’re going to let those beliefs color their reporting. They may not outright lie (although i’m sure that happens occasionally), but they will arrange stories in a way that will further their agenda, they will be less intense about reporting/investigating things that would hurt other liberals, etc.

I read an interesting article written by a guy who worked for a big LA paper. He claimed the liberal bias is so overwhelming that most journalists and reporters don’t even realize that its there. All their friends are liberal, their bosses are liberal, the neighborhoods they live in are liberal. They’re completely disconnected from the reality of their position and how it relates to the majority of the country.

I don’t really understand this. People bring up Fox like it matters. It is clearly right-wing biased, and obviously so, when compared to the left-wing bias of the other major news stations.

Dobbs is a populist, not a conservative by any stretch of the word. And again, just because Fox is more slanted for its team than CNN doesn’t mean that CNN isn’t slanted to the left - it is.

I seem to remember quite a few ‘big name’ FOX news commentators outraged at McCain as the choice. I think Coulter swore she would vote for Hillary before McCain.

No, that’s untrue. Whether it is truly in the pocket of the Democratic party or not is debatable, but there is a quite obvious left slant in almost all big name media organizations.

Can you name any examples off the top of your head? Or at least reference some examples of big name bias?

There’s no such thing as a “liberal media.” I’ve been watching the news for 17 years, and not once could I say, “ABC is liberal.” It’s crybaby republicans that hates it when their rhetoric don’t resonate with the people. The media is a reflection of what the people wants to know. The bias is towards the people not philosophical views.

Hey guys I’m a black american and I want to vote early today for my nigga Obama but they said I wasn’t registered to vote even though I filled out the forms and everything!!!

They said there was nothing they could do, I believe this happened because I am black and in a key battle ground state. Those sneaky republicans! What are my options???

:lame: I give it a D-

stop posting sigley

In Florida, there are dead people registered and voting (republican I think) and the state says there’s nothing they can do to fix it, even though they’ve known about it for quite some time.

Yea…this isn’t one of your better ones sigley. :shake:

Don’t click the link unless you like gay old man porn that has been on the net forever.

I don’t know why you people think this is Sigley. He is a lot more subtle. This fool played his hand on the first post. Sigley develops a raport that is nonchalant and believable before tossing in the bait. This Snapple guy is an insult to Sigley’s name. I knew it was a troll after the first sentence in his first post in SRK. Sigley’s work may take over a month.

LOL. Trolls are trolls. They get enjoyment out of rousting people on internet message boards. Even the “good” ones still kind of suck, unless we’re talking extreme cases where it’s kind of deserved (e.g. White Supremacist sites).

But, anyway, how tight have the polls gotten? Again, Obama needs to win by a decent size margin to sway any attempts at a recount.

I wouldnt be surprised that Larry Elder is supporting him.

no, it’s sigley.

Because it is sigley.

Lame.
