That was fucking inspiring right there. I knew long ago that Obama would get my vote, but damn, this man gives me some hope for this country. I don’t expect him to fix everything but getting us back on the right track is better than the shit we’ve been going through for the last eight years.

Give the man 8 years and I have confidence that he’ll get us moving in the right direction.

Obama needs to step his game up. His infomercial had nothing on Ross Perot’s late night infomercials. I didn’t even see him hold a single pie chart! :tdown: Check the facts and the history books. Pie charts = votes.

The news outlets were calling it a risk A. because it’s sensationalistic to put a spin of uncertainty on anything and everything, plus it gives them the convenient illusion of appearing unbiased when they’re really just gun-shy, and B. because Obama has a purported tendency towards extravagance. Honestly, to do better than Bush in a lot of areas, all he has to do is not do anything. Like, to be better in issues of constitution, rights, torture, starting wars, etc, all he has to do is not issue so many signing statements, not spy on us illegally, not torture people, and not start new wars, and those are really easy things to do. I don’t have any serious hopes that Obama will be able to actively fix all the things that need fixing, but a lot of Bush’s nonsense can be made better just by no longer doing it.

It’s not that far, but I never got any voter information forwarded to me, which means it never showed up to the other address, which probably means when I put my change of address in they dropped my registration. Hmm, I’m just hoping it shows up before tuesday.

Call the Los Angeles County Supervisor of Elections and find out if you’re already registered, and if you are, under what address and whether it is too late to change that information. If not, find out where you need to vote at and be there. Sometimes a simple call can save you a trip.
