To ensure that you will be on the bracket we recommend to be there by 6:30 – we strive to start the brackets at 7:00 PM.
Good turn out. Very MK heavy. But I wish everyone would arrive on time. I mean, if you know how long its going to take to get there, why cant people just leave with enough time?
If this was ECC when Phi was running it, you would have definetly heard over the loudspeakers,“you’ve been disqualified!!!” for those who didnt make it on time. Those were the old days I guess.
Thanks for the suggestion Cornerstrike, we will certainly consider getting a loud speaker.
I think the suggestion was more about starting on time and DQ’ing MIA players, than about a loudspeaker (though that might be a good idea, too).
As for the date and time… I like Friday. Less likely to have people pressed with work or school the next day like you would on a weeknight. Tuesdays are the Break, every-other Wednesdays are Guard Crush. Weekends can be hit or miss, people are more likely to have other plans. My $.02
And another suggestion (more for the players than the venue) would be for people to bring their own sticks. Amazing idea, right? I wasn’t at SB5, but at SB4 there were so few sticks that matches were being held due to people needing to borrow (or having given away) their stick. I lent my stick out to so many people, and wound up getting my stick back for my last match with a flaky MP button. My own fault, I guess. And I doubt I would have won either way, but who needs the added mindfuck, you know?

We have taken your feelings about starting tournaments on time seriously. We know it won’t happen over night but we are now encouraging Pre-Registration so that brackets and created and executed sooner for those in the venue and the stream monsters. We are building on each and every event.

Ok… sorry for the delay but good things come to those that wait. Salty Battles 7 was moved from Nov. 19th in order to support Big E Charity Event in Philly but now we are on the schedule for this coming Saturday. It’s kinda short notice we know… but you do not want to miss our first SB on a Saturday without the crazy freak October snow storm.
