How well Atomic Blonde (based on the graphic novel The Coldest City) does may be a better indication of how well he’ll do on Deadpool 2.

I mean, at least hes tall. So 6’3, but with probably some thick ass boots that add 2 inches, he will stand big. Has experience acting in a comic film. But we aint gonna get this 42 year old man on some chris evans captain america 1 pumped shit in time for the movie.
I guess they can get him pumped enough in 6 months or so, then just with his outfit make him look swooler than he is. We dont need to see cable with his shirt off. lol. Im more optimistic of this than previous rumors at least.
Shannon was pretty buff as Zod, so I don’t think that will be a problem.
I am having a hard time picturing him as Cable though.

If his performances in Midnight Special and Nocturnal Animals is anything to go by I think he’d make a great Cable. Just hope they get the right writers.
Shannon is a great character actor and could really bring gravitas and depth to the portrayal. I say give him a shot.
