Deadpool Movie Thread

I saw the press screening. I would recommend coming locked and loaded with as many 90’s references as possible.

Morena Baccarin on the sex montage: “It was like we were trying to come up with like absurd ways to have sex.”

uk deadpool spot. lmfao at the wolverine figure

Damn I was hoping Deadpool would be a Gunner :frowning:

I imagine every reviewer has Deadpool pointing a gun at them off-camera.

he sucks at reviewing movies

for android

Fox is already working on a sequel…

Finally saw it. Great movie, a bit on the short side, but sill awesome.

they said they were months ago

I’m gonna watch this and stare at people around me like an angry hipster.

“I collected Deadpool back in 1997, I bet you idiots didn’t even start until Cable/Deadpool!”

But I probably won’t, cause that elitism is reserved for spazzy nerds.

I started with Cable/Deadpool, fight me in a lightning toss battle Odin. You go first!

I’m not even a big Deadpool fan, up until very recently he annoyed the shit out of me. I got into Cable/Deadpool because Cable is my super secret comic husbando, I don’t tell Cyclops or Nightwing about him.

That and Liefeld artwork is like eye cancer. I just think the movie looks awesome and worth supporting.

His last few solo runs and the Deadpool Corps were solid though. I hear good things about his two new books and his participation in Uncanny Avengers, but been on a reading hiatus.

Ya I actually stopped at Cable/Deadpool haha
Picked up the first 3 issues, saw some blue men, and went ehhh don’t care anymore.
Then I picked it up again around issue 50, when Cable was already gone and got into buying every Deadpool book that was released during his next solo run. And they were fucking milking the Deadpool name like crazy, he had like 5 series going on. Only lasted for a year or two for me, then I realized the magic was gone from when I was young and truly enjoyed Joe Kelly’s humour.

The last Deadpool book I bought was the Kelly omnibus so I didn’t have to take my issues out of their bags.

I’d enjoy some Deadpool-only villains in the movie like Ajax, Deathtrap or T-Ray.

Yeah why I don’t understand why a fair amount of people think Deadpool will be Big now.

Dude is already big, he legit had like six comics going at one point a few years back and deadpoolmania been running wild for years.

I only started to dig him better after the Wolverine/Hulk film appearance and his comic runs starting with Brian Posehn/Gerry Duggan duo on the Marvel Now! Title.

So me and him are cool now.

Kellypool, Cable/Deadpool, Uncanny X-force

all you need for Deadpool.

Character got ruined hard when they started to use the inner voices shit. THANKS WAYPOOL!

Deadpool is always at his peak when he’s bouncing his inane shit at other people. The boxes representing his inner voices make everyone else pointless since he just bounces shit off himself now.

Forgot about X-Force, yeah that shit was hella good. Him standing up to Wolverine was actually a really good character moment.

Yeah maybe it was just the Daniel Way run that bothered me a lot. Didn’t help it lasted forever.

Doesn’t help that Daniel Way’s version of the character pretty much became the staple. Last time I read Deadpool he was still arguing with himself in full force with onlooker’s just going “Whatcha doin?”

Ya, I regret spending money on Waypool… Tried too hard.

I think my favourite issue of all time is #11.
I’d like to think this issue was the peak as a standalone story for Deadpool (even though Kelly still pumped out amazing stuff after this)

But the whole damn issue is drawn in a 1960’s style, taking place in the 1960’s Spiderman era with Deadpool disguising himself as Peter for most of the book and even fighting Kraven.
