Yeah, I think they scrapped the whole respectable image thing a while back. Guess too many people complained, lol.
Anyone know if DoA 5 will have character themes like in the past games? The characters themes were some of the stuff i liked about the series and when i saw that the soundtrack will be in that bundle i want to know if it won’t have anything notable bad in it.
Wish they would have released more VF characters, guess I’ll stick with Akira.
it’s not VFxDOA~ they are just guess characters, 3 is enough…really. I wouldn’t want over saturation on the other end of the stick, say more then 3 DOA characters in the next VF title.
Also The price for the Collectors Edition is reminding me alot of NG3 collectors edition o_O but again…I’m tempted to get it.

I know it’s not VFxDoA, but I would have loved it since the producer (I think) said he wanted to go dark, so why not add more characters if he wanted to?
That’s why they are making new characters too~ I just think instead of Pai-Chan, they could have used Jean…he’s dope.

How much of an improvement is DOA5 over previous incarnations? I know it’s still early, but the hold system has been pretty controversial in previous instalments. What’s changed?
the fact you can have insured damage is the major thing here…the critical burst or w/e it’s called puts the opponent in a unholdable state so you can actually do your strongest bnb or Power blow attack in this state. Seems like some characters have more sitdown and limbo stuns to help out with this, Kayane’s Kasumi was exploiting this with high damage bnb’s.

In a match that Master was playing, Rikuto, on commentary, mentioned that no matter what, he wouldn’t cheer for Master at all.
What’s their beef?
Master is basically the biggest thief in the DOA community and has stolen opportunities from much better players consistently; even going as far as being able to pick his opponents in a $10k tourney and denying better players from attending. In fact, the reason Master and his buddies, and them alone, were invited by Tecmo to E3 is a direct result of his backdoor political shit. Master’s actually a pretty good Hayabusa player and he wouldn’t get as much grief if he was at these events for being a good player but that’s not why he’s there. There are reasons the community has mostly moved to FreeStepDodge and away from Master’s site (TKPlayers, formerly DOACentral), and the whole politics shit with Master is one of them.

From interacting with the folks who moved over to the latter, I get the sense that they do have an idea of what needs to be done for the game and the community to be accepted as a tournament staple within the wider FGC.
Someone tell Tecmo to add “hold start for 15 frames to pause” like Skullgirls.

I know some of the guys on FSD have played and respect Skullgirls and are aware of those features. Hopefully they can voice the need for those features to TN.
