Dead or Alive 4 balance patch released, Doa4.1?

Hayate really only had one true negative change, and that is one that people aren’t talking about (f+PK not being a true combo). Everything else is either a fair change or an upgrade (df+K+G,K not tripping is better, not worse). The launcher changes are fine IMO, he still has all the tools he needs to win.

of course. i luv vf

Claps DoA4 is looking to finally be heading in the right direction, I’m very glad to be hearing this, although I’m not a big DoA fan at all, it’s just great to hear that they are trying to make DoA4 a real competetive fighting game.

i know what his/her? point was but its stating the obvious so im conveying the reason

im saying there is a reason for this to be a big deal, patches for games normally come with it said like tekken ressurection, dead or alive hardcore, street fighter turbo etc, but this is still dead or alive 4

plus its a big deal to me because i thought the juggling was fun and not broken, it stoped people from tap fighting aswell because the risk became too high, i suppose its probably just harder to find juggles now see’ing as most of my favcharacters stillhave their juggles

if theyre making a big diffrence to the game play so soon its possibe theymighttop that

“Them getting this out now IS a good sign though, it means unlike years past, they’re actually fucking listening(since people are saying all kinds of old shit doesn’t work anymore)”

so you agree then, and letme stress again IT IS NEW!!! neither of you would of said this if third strike’s system was updated, this is a pretty balanced game theres no reason to treat it as if its xmen mutant academy

Wrong. Once again look at VF4, or T5.1, or even SF2:CE.

From what I’ve read most of the changes haven’t horribly affected juggling. I may be mistaken tho.

If they’re making big changes to the gameplay now it’s admission that they FUCKED UP initially. SERIOUSLY fucked up.

I agree that it’s good, but it is NOT new. You missed all the examples of Tecmo updating their games too. And I don’t understand what that last comment is supposed to mean. 3S is fine the way it is, and it’s too late to make an update without angering EVERYONE.

I think they arent applying the idea correctly.

-its’s good to have patches to fix broken characters and bugs

-it is NOT however, good to take away properties and effects of moves from characters that didnt have many problems to begin with

I just invision these testing teams in a room playing the game like scrubs getting owned going “THAT MOVE IT JUST TOOOO BROKE. Lets change it!!”

Anybody remember how SICK yun was in the Beta of Soul Calibur 2?

  1. virtua fighter 4: EVOLUTION, tekken 1.5 (ok nice point but it didnt effectthe mass majority of people), street fighter 2: championship edition,

dead or alive 4 is dead oralive 4, onceyouve downloaded you cant go back, unless you delete your save, but even then you cant play online so basically the old doa4 is gone.

  1. not COMPLETELY but characters i began to startusing have been stripped of juggles i likedto do and depended on sometimes, so to whoever did use those juggles it is big to them. like iv already stated

  2. i dont really think they fucked up it seemed fine to me (except hayabusa) his way encouraged the dreaded (tap fighting)

  3. i wasnt debating that it was new its obvious it isnt you could just simplify it by saying… um what youv already said lol, i was debating thefacttheres a reason why its a big deal to people, because there are alot of live players that enjoyed working around whats been taken out, aside from that loggin on tothe new patch just feltnew eventhough itwasnt drastically changed

i was simply expressing WHY we reacted the way we did, does everyone understand now? lol

Not as a whole, but more character specific. For example some characters had the heights on some of their launchers revamped so now staple juggles don’t work in some cases or at all.
