While I’m on the rip off that is 52, was Superman depowered at the time?
I see no other reason why he wouldn’t have joined the fight against Black Adam*.
*Who was the only good thing about the series. Did he ever figure out his magic word again?

Yeah, Superman lost his powers. The whole premise of 52 was to shine some light on Heroes outside of the big three. The tagline was “A year without Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman”.
As for Black Adam, he recently reappeared in Justice Society of America, so there’s your answer. He figured it out in a mini-series he starred in. (And I didn’t read it, so maybe someone else could shine some light on that).
I just finished reading Gotham Central Book 3 today.
THE BRU delivered. Sucks it got canceled though, but I wouldn’t mind if DC made miniseries of it.
hey anyone trailed black lighting from his year one storyline into the outsiders if so what issue did he start on
I don’t think Gotham Central was actually canceled. I believe Rucka, in an interview, once stated that he ended it where he did because he felt it was time. Brubaker and Lark had departed for Marvel before the end of the series and Rucka pushed on to finish some of his plots and character arcs. Then he felt it just wasn’t right to continue without his main collaborators, so he decided to end it.
So if you read the rest of it, it does have an actual, intentional ending. It doesn’t really feel like one of those abrupt endings to a series that got canceled before the writer even knew what was happening.
Haven’t read Gotham Central yet. Although since its done by the Daredevil creative team I know its gonna be awesome. Been obsessed with the work of Grant Morrison lately.
Legion of 3 worlds #4 is out. Great issue, one of the events is totally predictable (but welcome)… the ending was surprising! Read it!
Lo3W was fucking great
Read Animalman and Doom Patrol. Morrison also wrote the Invisibles if you haven’t read that yet.
@Zephy- Thanks for clearing it up mate, but still I really hope DC will greenlight at least some minis for it to tell some more stories.
I’m getting to 'em! I tried the Invisibles, but it was little too weird for me.
Well to me, the anarchism of the main character spooked me away…shivers
BTW, you don’t HAVE to know much about the stuff that happened before Morrison’s run on DP, mainly because…it pales in comparison to Morrison’s work.
GL #40 was pretty good.
Hal Jordon: "World Peace. I hope for World Peace!"
Blue Ring: "Insincerity registered."
Hal: “Dammit!”
lol Tizoc that was funny.
Larfleeze and the orange lanterns are cool as shit. I wish the issue was longer though, I blaze through it so fast.
anyone pick up power girl #1?
love the variant cover
PG#1 was OK for me.
World of New Krypton #3 rocked and Supes is as badass as ever, Gor was lucky when he landed Alex’s Air Stampede on Supes, but by the end of the day; Supes ain’t someone a newb powered Kryptonian can handle.
Oh and this has got to be the best Zod I’ve read in a Supes comic to date.
BftC: Network was great too.
Latest Comic Shop News reports that Bagley will be the artist on Winick’s Batman for a 4 issue run. So Bagley will draw 4 issues. I’m hoping that this also means that Winick will only write 4 issues… :wasted: Ah well, I’ll pick up the 4 issues for the artwork.
From the article of Bagley talkin’ Batman -
***“Batman is so frickin’ iconic, that even at my best I don’t feel totally comfortable with him. This Batman (AKA the new Batman after BFTC) gives me a bit of wiggle room, visually though, and I’m more relaxed because of it. It’s like with Spider-Man… I never felt the Amazing Spidey Spider-Man was real mine the way I did with Ultimate Spider-Man.”
“…because it’s someone other than Bruce Wayne, I have to draw Batman a bit differently than I’ve drawn him in Trinity. I want to capture the classic Batman image, but at the same time I want readers to realize that this isn’t the same Batman they’ve seen before. My job is to make the character ‘Batman’ without being the Batman… if you take my meaning.” ***
DC’s next weekly project will be Wednesday Comics, starting in July. These will be 12 weeks of comic strip stories based on Batman, Adam Strange, Metamorpho, The Demon & Catwoman, Kamadi, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Teen Titans and Supergirl! Lots of talent involved like Brian Azzarello, Neil Gaiman, Walter Simonson and more! Now this looks interesting!

So what’s this thing I hear about DC maybe putting a new Batgirl…Cassandra Cain is my favorite Batgirl ATM.
Pick up the Black Adam trade that continues the story after 52
Cass appeared in Battle for the Cowl: Network, and she will be in one of the new Gotham/Bat books starting this summer.
Whee! New Batman and Robin artwork!
I love Batman’s shoes. They remind me of Cyclops’ New X-men kicks(also designed by Quitely). Also, brilliant perspective for that cover, showcasing the wave upon wave of dolls approaching our heroes.
CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS DAMN BOOK!
So I just finished the brainiac arc in supes. What should I be reading for superman now? Chronologically speaking.
