Lol, is there a chance Azrael’s coming back? That guy was like DC’s Carnage - was really really popular for like two, three years…and then suddenly the bottom fell out and everyone’s ashamed they even knew him now. He was Denny O’Neil’s pet character though right? I can’t see anyone else using him after all this time.
Azrael’s either back or coming back in his own story that will not be part of Battle For the Cowl. At least, not the main book I think? To answer the question of “With Batman gone the hell is Azrael?” for the two people who care. I think it’s a different person wearing the outfit. Read about it in Comic Shop News a few weeks ago and put most of the info out of mind…
I have a feeling that the Batman that Tim is tracking is not the gun-toting one. There was no gunplay involved when he was tracking those crooks with Squire. I’m pretty sure he’s going to find Azrael.

GJ: Sure!
NRAMA: In Adventure Comics #0, Scar says something about Superboy. Are we going to see that in Blackest Night?
GJ: If you want to follow that, you should read Legion of 3 Worlds #4. And then Adventure Comics #1.
NRAMA: Does Lex Luthor play into that? Because Lex Luthor was going to play a part in Legion of 3 Worlds, right?
GJ: No, you saw a scene where the Legionaires went back in time in the last issue and got a strand of his hair. But that’s it.
NRAMA: Then let’s talk about the Origin and Omens in Green Lantern. When does this take place?
GJ: That takes place after Agent Orange, just prior to Blackest Night.
NRAMA: The stuff we see at the end – the montage of things that will happen in the future – are those things that will happen in Blackest Night? Or afterward?
Hey guys something hit me yesterday. As you know DC like to have “crisis” from Crisis of infinite earths to the supposedly final crisis. So I thought lets have some fun word titles in alphabetically order. The poster would do the next letter so I’ll start with A

Can’t check those links ATM, but according to Comic Shop News, Winick is going to write Batman after Battle For the Cowl. Now I’m rooting for Jason Todd to win… Seriously Winick writes a horrible Dick Grayson… At least he did in Outsiders, not going anywhere near his Titans comic…
Oh well there’s still Detective Comics, Justice League and 100 other books a month that the new Batman will be in heh! :tup:
Winick’s just been horrible these past several years. When was the last time he wrote anything passably average? Probably back in the early 2000s, maybe when he was writing Kyle Rayner? It’s all been downhill since. He’s like the Erick Dampier of comics writing. Lazy bum had one decent year which he somehow managed to parlay into megabucks contract in free agency, setting him for life.
I can’t even go back and look at Exiles or Barry Ween or Pedro and Me.
