Batman Under The Hood is dope proving once again that the DC Animation staff can make great cartoons based on horrible comics. :wonder:

Jonah Hex short was awesome too. THOMAS JANE AND LINDA HAMILTON! :wow:

No sound on this computer, I had to look up other information to figure out that was Dick (For some reason) and not Tim. New Aqualad and Miss Martian kinda gave it away though.

Batman: Under the Red Hood was pretty damn cool, I didn’t really enjoy Nightwing’s characterization to much or the lack of Tim, but I’ve never read that arc so no idea if he was involved or not. Still, badass film people.

My pick-up folder will be big next week, can’t grab anything this week.

Return of Bruce Wayne is still awesome. I’m fucking loving it so far. I picked up #4 along with new Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Wonder Woman #601 (which I’m probably enjoying more than anyone else) and Time MastersL Vanishing Point.
And just because I had enough store credit, I got the Batman: Hush TPB.

Thomas Jane did the voice of Jonah–MARVELOUS!!! I was debating about buying it Under The Hood OnDemand yesterday but my fiancee told just go ahead & buy the 2disc from WalMart & I will be getting this Friday

The Jonah Hex short is the REAL Jonah hex movie.

The Jonah Hex short was dealing with prostitutes. That’s really adult for American animation.

Now that I’ve read Hush, possibly the greatest Batman story ever, what’s the next TPB I should get? Year one?

Hush harkens back to the days when I liked Jeph Loeb…

Dark Knight Returns, Year One, Long Halloween, Dark Victory, and Arkham Asylum (serious House on serious Earth) are all Bat-bibles that MUST belong in everyone’s shelf

Vanishing Point Time Masters… oddly enough Reads like Jurgens Booster Gold (which IMO is a good thing)

I Kinda hate it since it seems like comics are now BUMPED to $3.99 but managed to pick up Action 891 though… Kickarse book.

HUH? what? no no i mean WHAT?
COUGHscoobydoobydooooooocough

wow that book was just realy realy good i mean fuck it was superb
THIS IS A JOB FOR LEX LUTHOR

Year one and Long Halloween it is then.

most of the dc books this week were excellent, i could almost forgive that blasphemous JLA and JSA arc thingie.

Yeah I am not really feeling that, KC Armour Alan Scott is kinda cool though.

Hush was cool, didn’t make all that much sense to me in the end but then again most of Loeb’s work doesn’t, why I usually re-read it. I am under the opinion Loeb can only do good work with Sale to help him, but Hush is pretty decent.

@Valaris: If you don’t mind a bat book with the main man hardly in it, the Joker trade that came out a year or so ago is excellent. Also I can’t remember the name of it, but the semi-sequel to Arkham Asylum is pretty sweet, the one that turns an ordinary con-man into a psychopathic killer. The White Shark, who I’ve always liked.

I finished reading the latest of Green Lantern,Hector Hammond is now the Orange Entity host.I like the look Larfleeze had at the end.The remaining entite hosts are revealed. The Blue Lantern entity is looking for a missing college girl,I don’t know who the Butcher wants & the Predator has found it’s host in a photographer that is infatuated with somebody.I want to know who this Lost Guardian is that wants the entites

Krul Enlists The A-Team For “Teen Titans” - Comic Book Resources

Damian in a Teen Titans lineup? I’m there.

Haha, I’ve been thinking of a Teen Titans line-up featuring Damien. Let’s see how this series turns out; this might be jumping in point too, since I stopped reading TT during McKeever’s run @_@

The Long Halloween and Dark Victory are terribly overrated. The only reason they stand out is because of Tim Sale’s exquisite artwork. Story wise, they don’t hold up. The tone of those books is just watered-down Year One and the plotting is lazy. For two books that try and present themselves as crime comics, they cheat the reader and aren’t good examples of superhero crime stories.
