I think I will upload tutorials for goten, gohan and kid buu next
That be pretty good. You think whenever you get the chance, to make a Tutorial vid for Great Saiyaman and Mr.Satan? Mr.Satan is tough to use, I really couldn’t find any charge cancels to use in combos.
I’ve been playing some IW and BL a couple of days ago. In BL, I’ve mostly was practicing w/ Cell. I was doing this combo and some variants of it:
SS* (or SSS-, last hit must be charge canceled and can’t hit, is a little easier than SS*), <RS-, RS- (S doesn’t hit), <SS, HS, >E-, >SE-, /\E
I was practicing w/ Great Saiyaman in IW and he’s actually pretty good. I was doing this combo w/ him:
<P+K x2, HS, >, >KKKP-, KKKK-, PPPKK-, (reset) <PPPP-, PP, PPxxJustice Punch.
I noticed that Great Saiyaman’s PP is fast enough to do a couple more in the air to juggle. I noticed that JP can be charged canceled. Is it possible to use JP to extend his combos?
PP is an infinite for great saiyaman just need to get the timing perfectly down, JP cancelled can be used to extend his combos both in air and ground. I can make a video showing a combo with hercule, although he barely has anything useful lol
I really should check this thread more often; didn’t see Tico’s post about making a Goten guide, lol. I did mention that I was gonna do some video tutorials, though, and Goten is my main, so:

EDIT: Did one for too!
Awesome Tutorial videos man. Very well organized. I think I might try out Goten and Trunks sometime.

welcome to the niche club brother.
enjoy.
and yes.
yes, it(sdbz) was a way underrated fighter that got passed up by too many peeps.
a word of unsolicited advice, since u just got it…
the most valuable item in your customizable slots is the super-cancel item.
every character HAS to have it.
that item opens up the game dramatically.
for ex:
u can do a super dragon fist, cancelled into super kamehamha, cancelled back into a super dragon fist…takes like half your opponents life meter.
if u main chichi/milk, try doing her super swirl hurricane and step inside it for defensive purposes.
her helicoptor bo staff move is pianoing weak and strong buttons after launching it. move the stick around to move her around.
now that helicoptor move info is in the gamefaqs’ walkthrough…but when i first got that game(shortly after release date) that info wasn’t there. or anywhere on the net for that matter.
shit took me months of fiddling around to figure out how to do it.
i must be slow in the head or something.
that game is open to invention thx to customization.
u can go all the way to the top of the screen using vegeta with his dashing purple attack move. just do it three times then start launching a ton of his homing energy purple black balls of ki.
sorry, cant remember the names of these moves
lastly, remember when they came out with tenkaichi 1+2+sdbz box compilation set?
i hear that sdbz got updated/refined in that version of it.
idk if its true, since i never played it.
Superdragonball Z needs a sequel…but it’ll never happen cuz it didn’t sell well.
i think cuz it was full 3D and not 2D or 2.5D, which to be honest is what i think it should have been from the start.
laterz.
IW Bardock = using Phalanx to rape a life bar.

Figured I’d do one for Super Buu as well.
Has anyone been playing the new DS Dragon Ball Z Kai fighter (Ultimate Butoden)? I’ve been having a blast in local multiplayer with it, the mechanics are interesting but very different than what we’re used to with traditional fighters (but plenty of the same principles apply). I’d be interested to hear if people here had dug deeper into it.

With Budokai HD Collection out, I figured that bumping this thread wouldn’t hurt. Got back into B3 a little, but IW still holds up as the best in the series IMO. I’ve also made a tutorial detailing the game’s fatigue system, which hopefully should shed some light on things:
