Jason, just go over to Quentin’s house and play him at BB every day. You’ll get better. Time definitely helps with this game, and I think Noel has some pretty wicked combos that it might be hard to learn outside of training mode.
Quentin, you’re doing alright. I would say you need to work on getting your combos more consistant and teching/using barrier properly to get out of pressure instead of just bursting when you get impatient. Also, I feel like you teleport a lot when you don’t need to. Oh yeah, and watching you reenact fighting game combos or moves in real life never gets old. Kam needs to get some footage of you doing that for sure.
Kam, if you can find Zach and learn what he’s doing, he’s srsly the best Jin I’ve played so far. If you can look at videos and see what combos they’re doing and use those, that would help. One thing I noticed that I forgot to mention when you asked me, you run up and FD brake a lot. It’s a viable tactic sometimes, but if your opponent sees you doing it all the time, sooner or later they will realize they can just walk up and throw you for free. You caught on to my mixup really quick, but you also hold barrier, which will (again) get you thrown because your opponent can just see that you’re standing there blocking. It also hurts because it puts you in danger mode quick. You really shouldn’t be in danger mode unless you have bursted. The best method to FD is to try to time it for each hit. This way it drains much slower, and you’re also less likely to fall asleep at the wheel (of fate) and get thrown. Also keep in mind that barrier guard will put you in longer block stun, so some stuff that would be punishable becomes unpunishable. Eventually you’ll want to learn what is punishable, and try to instand block so you can get a bigger window in which to punish. Anyway, as long as you realize that ice car followup is punishable, I think you’re on the right track, because all the bad Jin players spam that move all day, and I think people online don’t realize they can block and punish.
Jordyn, sorry I couldn’t make it out there. I sort of thought that Kyle and Josh were planning the same thing, so I told Kyle I’d go to Illuminaudi and I kind of thought you guys would all be there, but whatever. It was closer for me anyway.

As far as last night goes, I saw that KG was trying to get people to Ill, so instead of dividing and conquering, I figured I’d just let people go there. Having people at the 2D all night wasn’t relaly in my best interests, being that I am at work right now. Plus, the more people I have over, the longer I have to wait to play. I’ll be playing fighting games ALL next week, so I don’t want to become burnt out.
