I’ll try having the AL casuals that were recorded up on YouTube in the next couple of days. GGs to all I played
Nice matches at AL tonight.
@Otter, you don’t have to worry about giving me a ride to SB, Adam said he can handle it. No reason for you guys to come out by me when Adam would already be here and said he could do it (he’s in that class that I’d have to be in on Friday anyway). Thanks for offering though, not sure what led to you being asked but it’s cool that you’d offer a ride. Still check with me on AIM.
@Mow: Who let you mod that stick with a game shark? JK, good matches again, you’re awesome. I’ll figure something out soon hopefully so you don’t get too bored running me over.\
edit: Oh ya, was told I should post this:
OS has a second bar that can fill up to 1 2 or 3.
He charges it by going into a stance (think s-groove from cvs2) or by adding a small follow up to special moves.
When ever he does a special or super it is effected by how much charge he has, and properties of the move change then drain the charge bar to nothing.
Tsubaki apparently has the option to not use her gauge and save it for later moves.
She also apparently only has one upgraded version of each move but can stock 5 bars.
Yeah, I think they just broke it/dumbed it down so much that it’ll be broken…at least in a GG system.
The OS charge moves helped keep him balanced, and not crazy stupid because
-
You had to pick what general level of power you wanted to stay at, and certain levels of those moves were much better then others. The level 1 dash behind move was his best move for oki-setups, but if he had too much charge you had to adjust, or do something weird in order to not use up your entire bar on the level 2 or 3 version of it, because it always used the highest level unless you inputted it differently.
-
He had three levels to work with…Dumbing it down to just 2 levels means she’ll have the level 1 versions which were all good for OS…and the level 3 version which were all GREAT for OS…the level 2’s for OS were the goofy inbetween “eh they’re good, but they aren’t great for the work you go through” so what I always saw from OS’s in vids (and the one good OS I played…Eric) is they’d tried to get to the level 3 moves if they could, but would prefer to stay at level 1 until they built up enough for level 3 stuff. The level 2 were just really situational.
Though maybe we can get Eric in here to explain it better for us. I think there’s potential for shenanigans with Tsubaki…but perhaps I’m wrong about a lot of this.
I didn’t get to play you, but your C.Viper was looking pretty good last night. Thanks for letting us use your camera for the match vids. Next time i’ll try the USB streaming function with my laptop and see how that works, so I don’t have to bother you with uploading stuff. My upload speed at work is so insane that I can do gigs worth of uploading in a few hours. And it’s all okay because it’s off business hours so no one cares!
I’d like to see if that works, too Zach. It would make video uploading even easier for people who play at AL, and that’s a very good thing.
I hope all of you are practiced up for next weekend.
I haven’t really played for like a month
Good games last night Mow! I had a lot of fun. It was nice to be the teacher for once!
I’m going to try and get better at my ground game. If I keep playing you I know I’ll do better. <3
Games tonight at my plave tonight. Text me if you’re up for coming.
Adam3 you’re more than welcome to join us!
Josh Queen you’re welcome too. It’ll be good practice for SB4.
I think its more like she has level ones and level twos, not ones and threes.
I think she’ll be more like Jam than anything HOS-like, Jason. then again, I don’t know jack shit about that game because I hate it completely.
oh well. I hope to see you guys next week at SB.
Nope. I am going to get raped so hard. Yes homo.
Well… I hope the raper uses protection. Either that or you could just wrap yourself up in some plastic wrap and hope they don’t notice.
There will be 2 more days of Pre-SB4 Practice I will be running down at Sinclair on Monday and Wednesday, barring unforeseen problems. Anyone who wants to come out should do so, but we’ll probably only have one set-up going due to transportation issues. We can play just about any game someone wants to practice in.
See everyone out there that can come!
I am interested in that as long as I can get some practice in on SF4. I’ve never been over there so I would need to know which building or w/e and what time you are wanting to play.
This whole week I’m stuck with midterms and papers, I probably can’t make any practice nights.
Monday I will be there for sure , I have work wednesday so I dont know.
Since you Dayton cats are interested in IC customizing, I found out yesterday with some help from Dave that if you insert another IC card back to back, it resets the timer.
So lets say Quentin goes first, he can use up to 55 seconds doing what-ever (changing his card name, buying, equiping) and then Skeez can put in his card and Quentin gets another 60 seconds to finish what he was doing. This is awesome for people who haven’t finished entering their cards names or having trouble customizing. Note, this doesn’t work if someones card is already in the machine, it needs to be back to back card inputs.
Cool to know eh?

We will be in the basement of Building 8, and should be getting underway around 9:30, 10AM tomorrow.
If anyone who is coming has a stick, try and bring it. I can only confirm one stick and pad that I can manage to fit with my PS3, so… we’ll see whats up.
EDIT: On my RedRoof room reservations, it doesn’t list a time for check in. Does anyone know if there is one or can I show up any time during Friday?
Check in should be any time, check out is usually noon.
