Gah, and here I was thinking that these tweets were made today or something. Ah well, I’m still of the belief that we’re getting DLC chars, so yeah. If anything, we’re just not going to hear about them for a while. Trust me, the last thing Capcom needs to do is announce DLC characters before the game’s even out. That’s just not smart.
Erm, doesn’t that contradict itself? I guess I get tired of hearing all of the silly in-fighting about which MM should make it, such as:
[]Classic shouldn’t be in b/c he was in the other games
[]X shouldn’t be in b/c Zero’s a better version of him and the X fans are jerks
[]Volnutt shouldn’t be in because he was in TVC and he was annoying to use
[]EXE shouldn’t be in because he’s a computer program

etc.
I mean really, not only are all of the above reasons stupid, but it’s just petty overall when a single fandom attacks itself like that.
Personally, I really want to see Mega Man classic in MvC3. However, as a fan of the entire franchise, I will welcome any incarnation (except Starforce) with open arms. Any Mega Man is better than no Mega Man. X is obviously the most requested version (not sure why) and is the most likely to get in. In fact, at this point it seems that he is the only Mega Man that has a chance of making it in, and as result, I fully support him. That being said, I would love to see Sigma in MvC3 as well, and with Capcom’s current trend of making interesting new characters with unique movesets, it’s not too far fetched.
So what is the likelihood that we will be seeing a Mega Man for DLC? Could Lupinko be subtly hinting at it, or perhaps drop a riddle about him in the future?
I can’t really see either one having more moveset possibility than the others; IMO they all have enough weapons/chips/cards/etc. to write a small book. Really, I think ZX is the only one that’d be strapped for moves, as not only is the moveset an X/Zero re-hash, they have no special weapons to go off of. Also, I just tried to picture L3 XFactor Beast Out Megaman.EXE. I’m…a little scared now.
That’s pretty much why I picture X getting over any other MM at the moment: fan demand. Niitsuma himself stated that X easily has the most backing behind him, and that’s probably due to the fact that he’s the only one (aside from SF) that hasn’t seen a fighting game debut yet. And yeah, Sigma would be a fun addition, and I think a few other side characters would fit in a fighting game environment. People like Bass, Protoman, Vile, Dynamo, Duo, Bass.EXE, Serpent, and Rogue would fit in quite well.
At this point I’d be surprised if he wasn’t DLC. Unless Capcom hates money, MM(any) will be DLC. X and Classic have a much higher chance due to familiarity with less seasoned gamers. A lot of people don’t know who Volnutt/EXE/SF are, but Classic and X are characters that a lot of people recognize on sight.
I’m going to lock this thread until we’re talking about Lupinko again. If you want to talk about Lupinkoisms, PM me. Bumping this to talk about which version of Megaman you want isn’t helpful to others.
