Deserving DLC characters? Megaman, but that’s it. No other character deserves a spot. I’m not even a Megaman fanboy (I’ve only played a few games and I don’t like X). Psylocke, Gambit, Venom, Cable none of these deserve a DLC spot. That’s just silly.
Juggernaut on the other hand… that’s another story 
For a long time Captain Commando was the mascot of Capcom. Presence in games or not, he used to be a flagship.
Captain Commando = CapCom.

I’ve been on Capcom games forever, I just honestly never recall the time when he was the company mascot–it couldn’t have been long with Megaman and Ryu running around before and after him.
Edit: Maybe because what he looked like before he got his game wasn’t what he looked like after? I do remember seeing this dude around randomly, but I probably forgot that he was actually Commando.
He was probably intended to be the mascot at some point*.*
And yeah, I remember realizing that for the first time. Not really that hard, but I smiled a little on the inside. And then there’s Capcom-Unity, which is actually kind of clever. Now if only the average user there was as clever…

Yeah you’re right. He looked different, and it was before he even got his game which is why I wasn’t remembering him at all, but he was there. I stand corrected.
If Megaman deserved a spot he would have been an original character in vanilla mvc3.
Stop trying to make MM happen. He’s not in, deal with it.
No MMX, we have more MM games than MMX 1-8, X-fans. MMX and MML are repped, so let’s have a different MM series be repped by Megaman. MM.EXE/MMSF/MMC. Thank you, and good day.
CapCom doesn’t deserve a spot at all. He’s been forgotten completely except by MvC2 players, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom would have to ask Marvel to use him since he was their creation.
Also I’d like to remind people that again, this isn’t the 90s. Megaman as well as your favorite X-men characters are vastly less popular today except to those who grew up with and cherrished them. These characterless, aside from Juggernaut, don’t even have a huge importance to the MvC history like Strider and Sentinel did to earn them a place either. These also don’t deserve a place. Would some people be happy if they were in? Sure. Are they in anyway so special and deserving that they HAVE to be in for the sake of posterity? Nope. Megaman hasn’t been the face of Capcom for some time, and even when he was he only served as the face to go with Megaman/Sonic, as did a lot of other video game mascots at the time.
Most of the people who deserve to be are already in: characters who have identified the company for the past 10 or so years. The only thing truly missing from this roster of deserving charecters are
-a Monster Hunter character- basically the face for Capcom in Japan of the 00s to the present
-Some of Marvel’s award winning comic series representatives like The Runaways and Alias.
-remaining MvC history characters like MAYBE Captain Commando or Cable.
Honestly, that’s all that’s truly left for those who truly earned a place in the game for both companies over the past few years. I can’t think of a single character from the past 10 years who has made an impact on either company. Anyone else we get is just icing on the cake.
And again, for me personally. Other than the lack of The Smiths, Sissel, Thanos, Jessica Jones, and Molly Hayes, I’ve already got everyone I hoped for in MvC3, so there’s really not much more I can personally ask for. Some of my wants were met in an odd way, I wanted Howard the Duck, but I got Rocket Racoon and I’m okay with this.
Psylocke’s got dat ass though. Her A/T ratio is better than Rouges.
Hey, funny little thing, in Dorm’s ending, we see Red Arremer, Wesker, Akuma and. . . . LORD RAPTOR!
Lord Raptor is highly possible to MvC3 then I suppose.
Like I said, I’m not a MM fan. I don’t care that he’s not in. I’m saying that if anyone deserves a spot, it’s him because he’s been shafted. I couldn’t care either way.

LOL, we used to make that “Cable” comparison with Saki, even though she didn’t have nearly the “for free” aspects of the Hyper Viper Beam. What really made Saki flaming was team up hypers with her “Load Ammo” hyper… she and Batsu were my main team, I’d occasionally swap her out for Ippatsuman

no. Capcom deserves a spot. Him and a certain Megaman should get in the game over any of the current DLC choices.
Capcom brings MVC Nostalgia and he makes the vs vibe legit beause capcom has it’s flagship characters present (Ryu, Megaman, Capcom).
So, no Megaman X, Psylocke, Gambit then? Eh, I’m digging the “No X” thing, but indifferent about Psylocke and Gambit.
