If they were to put in an MM, they should put in someone other than X due to gameplay value (Classic with armor). Like EXE for example has 10x the amount of powers/weapons/abilites that he can do over X and the other MMs. (Such as Souls, Dark Chips, Crosses, Styles, and hundreds of different Battle Chips to choose from) Capcom even liked EXE better, from what I could gather about the Battle Network series (more product placements, a card game, a board game, a very well done anime series, gave his games an ending (something that hasn’t happened to any other Megaman))
X fans already got their series repped by Zero, who was more popular than X. Another series should have representation now. The only reason X was considered is becasue his fans shout the loudest and attack anyone else who wants a different Megaman (I would know because I’ve had my own MM.EXE4UMvC3 fb page attacked a bit. Well, you know how that is-- same with the Strider fanbase; the louder the fanbase shouts, the more possible it’ll happen. I’ve been a fan of all MM games minus this Starforce one, so I’d be happy with any iteration of him at all (despite not wanting to main him). No need to justify why .EXE is an acceptable form over X, they all have a decent chance. The good thing about adding brand new characters is that you can pool resources and make something out of the character from various stuff, even if they aren’t a fighter at all (Phoenix Wright).

As much as I would love to hear “Central Highway” receive a remix from Hideyuki Fukasawa, I don’t want Megaman X in MvC3. For starters, we already have a “Megaman X” rep and I hate X’s fanboys.
So… regarding Rockman, I wouldn’t mind hearing this or this, but I’m sure we are going to hear that, that’s IF the blue fucker actually appears, as a playable character, of course. Haha!

I don’t think DLC characters can even be remotely confirmed, as they said they weren’t going to think about DLC until they saw the sales figures. While WE know UMvC3 will sell well, and Capcom probably knows UMvC3 will sell well, wasn’t it said they’re not going to do anything DLC-wise until sales figures come in? (Excluding the pre-order alt costumes.)
People keep talking about DLC characters, and while Capcom did mention DLC, I just don’t see more characters coming.
My reasoning is that since the 12 Ultimate characters were already supposed to be DLC, I don’t see why they would make any more. And 50 total chars is plenty.
just to make everyone happy and just buy the game, if they’re going to include more than just the 12 revealed already, just please give them out for free. saves us the trouble of complaining why they were chossen and who in the right mind would get them as DLC
mvc3 is a cash cow, i doubt they will just throw away money when they got so much potential to make of it. Besides, its still missing megaman(any form), any 90’s characters, etc… and they will know people will buy it. Fans will be happy when they get more characters while they are making money.
even if they sell it at 60$ just aslong it has 12+ supposedly 4 more future announced characters (aside from jill and shuma still being dlc) + new game modes, nerfs and what not. i would go up to our nearest game store and so help me God buy that shit off the shelf like it were brand new jordans in a heart beat
