Speaking of the Days of Future Past stage, I haven’t read all the pages of this thread so this may have already been mentioned, but a poster on another site had this to say:

I’ve just seen a promo picture that had a picture of past mvc characters that didn’t make the game, with the word “slain” on their faces. Only one that didn’t have “slain” was Mega Man. In the original X-Men comic book cover, Wolverine was the only one without “slain” over his face.

According to him, the image was like the poster from the background of the Days of Future Past cover, except it had MvC2 characters that didn’t make it into MvC3 instead of mutants and Wolverine’s picture on the right was replaced with a smiling Classic Megaman. Here is the original cover:

He said he saw it at SDCC but had no picture for proof. However, a few other posters confirmed that they had seen the same picture as well. Seth as well said in a Gamespot interview during SDCC that some characters from MvC2 that didn’t make it into MvC3 would be making a cameo appearance in the Days of Future Past stage alongside the killed mutants. It seems like there could some legitimacy to the Days of Future Past image between the few people claiming to have seen it and Seth’s comments seeming to fit that… However, Megaman’s picture replacing Wolverine as the only one without “Slain” or “Apprehended” over it could just be a huge troll. Other posters confirming to have seen this lends some credit to the story, but at the same time, this is something that Capcom would reveal well before any DLC plans were announced and this image would basically confirm MM for DLC since he is the only one without “Slain” or “Apprehended” on it. It’s either fake, an early leak, or Capcom is gearing up for some hardcore trolling of the MM fans by only making him part of a background.

The first image is MvC2 Gambit and the 2nd image is from the SDCC build of UMVC3.

Someone would have clearly caught this so I’m just curious what I missed. Who is this?

Yes thats Gambit. The background of the character select has some reused art from previous VS games.

Haiku/Haikuwar is just saying he’s got insider info becasue he’s all high-and-mighty about guessing Ghost Rider and Hawkeye right. Now he’s dropping ‘hints’ like Lupinko did when, if he actually knew stuff, he would say it outright. :coffee:

Lulu: that part was talking about Third Strike. He didn’t deny or confirm anything specific about their plans for UMVC3 other than that there would be some.

Kensk quit because he both had a conscience, and got tired of being treated like dirt. Lupinko and Chib wanted to protect their source this time around, however Lupy seems to be quite tired of the backlash his riddles have caused…Thus his status as of now is unknown…He might outright leak some stuff later, but it seems more likely he will bury it in forced ebonics…and that’s if he posts anything at all.
