I think the best way to implement Breaks/Bursts (if they even do) is to tie to X-Factor, which has always been a cool concept as a once-per-match game changer.
You get one opportunity per match to use your X-Factor to break out of one non-hyper combo, and that’s it. You get no X-Factor bonuses after the break, and you can’t use X-Factor for the rest of the match as usual.
Personally, I’m fine either way. But there does NOT need to be rampant combo-breakers in this game.
Interesting how capcom stated they wanted NO more x men reps or street fighter reps yet every character you listed is … well you get where im going with this.
I do however think Gambit may sneak his way in… Unfortunately.

If Lupinko is reading this, he needs to be very obvious, not pretty obvious, you don’t mention poker, and a former voice actor for gambit in the same sentence. That tweet could have easily been interpreted as Gambit will be in with a different VA. I really hope Lupinko really thinks before he posts shit he says is obvious, we can’t read his mind, he really needs to think what is obvious.

They did. That was one of the first questions some one asked at the SDCC panel and Nitsuma said it’d been scaled down considerably. My buddy hit me with a full launch combo into OTG hyper during lvl3 X-Factor and it didn’t kill me. I was using Strider and he has low life just like MvC2
I *highly *doubt they would add more Street Fighters in this game. I think Akuma’s spot was kinda wasted and should have gone to a 3rd Striker, namely Ibuki. But I think that ship has sailed. If they do more DLC, which is probably a huge if, they would do well to start looking at the unrepresented franchises.
Putting a character on because she was on a specific game isn’t the way to go about it though, there are way better SF characters like Blanka and Honda (who have yet to appear in an MvC game) to put on than Ibuki. Plus putting Ibuki would have been 3 female SFs and one male (who is Ryu, and on everything, which is totally boring anyway.
If this is true, that’s like amazing. Can you go into a little more detail based on what you remember, was it a character who’s known for hitting soft like Shuma, or was it a serious character? It was a combo like, launch, MMHS, Hyper actually hitting? That’s amazing if it’s true. Strider has about 700k health if I’m not mistaken.
Yeah I don’t know about the plausibility of Assist-Only characters. Seems like a lot of wasted work rendering those characters assist-only, when they could be a $5 DLC character instead for a little more effort.
Though we do have Ant-Man and Servbots as special moves, so idk.
If that was true, then Phoenix Wright wouldn’t be playable.
