The one thing that’s uncertain is how and when they will add new characters via DLC, which they will surely do in future. Go be an idiot elsewhere and let these people have their speculative fun.
Emma Frost doesn’t have the love you think she does. Infact she is still seen as a “Jean” clone. The rest of that list is accurate though, but again Marvel had say. Fantastic Four can’t be used so Thing was out, Ms. Marvel is saddly one of Marvel’s biggest mistakes. She had great potential but they just kept trying to push her as Marvel’s Wonder Woman. And it has blown up on them. She can’t sell a solo series, and marvel fans are just uninterested. Again Marvel is a boys club, except in the X-men line. And I don’t think they want more X-Men, and I don’t know about you. But as a X-Men fan Nightcrawler > all suggestions for X-Men characters 
But again I can only speak from my opinion. No one knows why Marvel said no to certain characters. But this is a specualtion thread… CHOO CHOO

No, there has been no indication that they will “most likely” add more, just a rumor started by Lupinko who you may or may not believe. I get people wanting more new characters, since people will always want more of anything, but don’t get your hopes up until you hear something official. I’m sure it will show up here on SRK first (cheap pop).

I think that game design is more significant an issue than a few dlc’s
People who think we are going to get a meaningful amount of DLC characters for this game are deluding themselves, imho; when has Capcom ever done that? Maybe a couple on disc, but I don’t even think that. Remember how fun it was to play as Frank West and Doctor Octopus in Vanilla? Yah.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we just got some Mega Man/Daredevil DLC

I don’t think it’s just who’s too big in comics. From what I’ve heard, it sounds like Marvel gives Capcom a list of characters that they can use, and Capcom picks characters from that list that they feel could make interesting movesets.

I blew it up in one of my art programs because I thought it was a toy. Its actually polygons and pixels. Its a really good fake or something they snatched from the first version of the game the HUD is all wrong. I wish it was real also though would complete the cosmic villain void. Galactus dosnt count.
